THE MINDSIGHT WORKSHOP & EXHIBITION — A DAY WITH STEPHENARUDI

As a visual storyteller working across documentaries, films, and photography, I have come to see that storytelling is more than art — it is influence. It shapes beliefs, values, and cultural narratives that define how communities perceive and engage with the world.

The Mindsight Workshop & Exhibition was designed to share these vital insights, foster collaboration among creatives in Kogi State, and empower participants with the right mindset to tell our own stories — authentically, locally, and globally.

From engaging film screenings to hands-on problem-solving sessions and a thought-provoking exhibition, participants explored the depth of creative storytelling and its power to shift perspectives.

Because truly, “Every story deserves to be told.” If we don’t tell our stories, they risk being misrepresented. And without the right skills, our voices risk being drowned out on the global stage.

Well…. for me these moments were foreseen because of my relationship with this couple , and i can’t but bring the beautiful heart of my brother @wisdomandrew the groom to light and lens. The cherishing of this blessed day by our lovable sister @alaynna.b the bride was one of the beautiful moment i had to capture in the little space of time i had with myself and them together. Every moment cinematically highlighted here were my intentions from days far back, every scene conveyed every emotion my heart had pictured before this great day.
Some years ago my brother said to me “SA you will tell my wedding story through your eyes” so yeah… I knew I had just one job ; TIMELESS MEMORIES!

I learn every time i get the chance to film great days as this.. And i share my lessons below;

The memories of solemnizations ought to be the most memorable of all even in the life of couples, no couple should ever recover from them. As a director of this kind of cinematography you must be intentional about making your filming serve even as a fuel for rekindling lost passions, a tale of love that can serve as a back track any day necessary for your clients(The couples)

One of my best moments is documenting. The second is working with @stephenarudi . It’s a moment I learn all over again. A moment I feel there’s more in my inside that I should let out. Shooting with him gives me fears oooo because I’m scared of doing the wrong thing. But this fear pushes me to be better and excellent. We had a beautiful day of beholding, looking at ourselves through the lens of God’s word and submitting to the HolySpirit for continuous transformation just like God’s word says in 2 Corinthians 3:18

This was the first seed of many of such meetings starting right in the City of Lokoja, Kogi state and going to the ends of the earth until we see the Word of God cover the earth like the waters cover the sea!

Kingdom on Heels is the ladies arm of The Father’s Community we believe that every woman is here to fulfill a specific part of God’s plan, in such a time as this and that with God’s help it is possible to live a life that brings him Glory at every turn!
