Stepping into a whole new world of time travel. ⏳✨

I’m incredibly excited to share my latest venture into collecting vintage watches. There is something completely unmatched about wearing history on your wrist—knowing that a machine built decades ago is still ticking away perfectly today, completely independent of screens and batteries.

My first deep dive? This stunning, late 1950s Omega Automatic "Tank."

Back in an era dominated by round sports watches, Omega broke the mold with this bold, architectural square design (specifically the rare Reference 3999 / 14253). Inside sits the legendary, ultra-slim Caliber 571 movement—a masterclass in mechanical engineering from Omega’s golden age.

It’s elegant, it’s structural, and it feels less like an accessory and more like a piece of living art.

Here’s to the start of a new obsession. Down the horological rabbit hole I go! 🧭🛠️

This is the big news from @Panerai this month - for the first time they did a proper tool-watch Luminor in 42mm, not a Luminor Due. It's inspired by the first public Luminors from 1993 (ref. 5218-201/A).

3 references just launched:

- PAM01710 (featured) - steel case, black dial with ecru beige lume numerals
- PAM01711 - steel case, military green dial with ecru numerals
- PAM01714 - black DLC-coated steel case, blue dial with dark ecru beige markings

Why people are excited:

- Size: 42mm x 13.8mm thickness. Finally, a wearable size for smaller wrists, but keeping the classic Luminor proportions and crown guard
- Real dive spec: 500m water resistance (50 ATM) vs. 100m on the old snap on case back Luminors and 30-50m on the Due - sapphire crystal, screw-in steel caseback
- Movement: In-house P.980 automatic, 3-day power reserve, 28,800 vph, 23 jewels, Incabloc, 177 components
- Dial: Sandwich? No - this one uses printed Super-LumiNova Arabic numerals and markers for that vintage 90s look
- Strap: 22mm Canvas in beige / green / blue to match dia

It's basically Panerai answering the complaint that "I love Luminor but 44mm/47mm is too big, and Due is too dressy and not tough enough." This one's for you!
