When there are opportunities to learn from the greats, you take them.

Thank you, David, for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience in the film and television industry.

From one set of vampire TV creators to another, it was fang-tastic. 🧛🏻‍♀️

Thank you @zepfestofficial @aliciaofarmer and David Greenwalt

We can’t wait to share @vampiressuckit with you all.

Good sound starts on set — but it doesn’t end there.

As a filmmaker, one of the best things you can do for your film is hire an excellent on-set sound mixer. Clean, properly recorded production audio will save you SO many headaches in post.

But then… don’t forget about post sound.

Dialogue editing, ADR when needed, Foley, sound design, ambience, effects, and the final mix all play a huge role in how your film feels and how professional it sounds.

You can have beautiful cinematography, incredible performances, and a great story — but if the audience is distracted by bad audio, they’re not going to experience the film the way you intended.

Sound isn’t an afterthought.

It’s storytelling.

Invest in it from the first day of production all the way through the final mix. 🎬🎧

Confession: I’m still figuring it out.

AND

I’m feeling great about the things I’ve figured out so far.

If you would have asked me how many film projects I intended to act in and/or produce in the last 4 years, I wouldn’t have guessed near enough.

I hope this encourages you to keep dreaming.

We’ll all figure it out. As we go.

It just takes time.

Experiences.

Failures.

Highs.

Lows.

Each door we walk through, each time we show up, we’re making progress.

We’re figuring it out.

Think about it.

What dreams have you already lived because you kept going and you did, indeed, figure it out?

There are many more to come.

I just know it.
