Everybody does their job on a Gruff Studios set… except Gruff Studios.

This beautiful team brought absolute magic to Oscar Montion’s The Audition. From men and women of so many cultural backgrounds to veterans who served our country, this set was packed with unmatched hustle, discipline, and heart.

Gruff Studios is so blessed to build with you all. Can’t wait to run it back! 🖤✨

Big news for The Audition: our official @seedandspark campaign is officially submitted and under review! 🎬🔥

With crowdfunding, the first 48 hours make or break a project’s momentum. The second that green light hits, we need an all-out blitz to lock in our goal and bring Oscar Montion’s psychological vision to life.

Here’s how you can help us right now before day one:
1. Like, comment, & share this video to spread the word.
2. Follow @beyondmontion & @gruffstudios with notifications turned on so you catch the exact moment we go live.

We can’t make this without your support. Stay ready. We launch soon.

Behind every festival-winning script is a real human being fighting to be heard.

When Oscar Montion wrote The Audition, it came straight from growing up in South LA—turning the suffocating battles, imposter syndrome, and self-doubt into art. The industry took notice: it won Best Drama Screenplay at the Los Angeles Film Awards, following wins for his western, The Duel.

Now, Oscar has teamed up with us at Gruff Studios and a dedicated crew of over 20 student filmmakers from The Los Angeles Film School to bring this psychological drama to life.

Here is the honest, heartbreaking truth of independent filmmaking: Oscar doesn’t have a massive studio safety net. Right now, we do not have the budget to properly take care of our team.

These young, hardworking artists are pouring countless unpaid hours, sleepless nights, and pure heart into this vision. We refuse to feed them twelve-hour-old pizza or treat their labor like an afterthought.

Over 60% of our $2,850 goal is dedicated to one non-negotiable mission: providing real, hot, healthy meals and proper craft services to keep our crew fueled, safe, and respected across four intense shoot days.

WE CANNOT STEP ONTO SET WITHOUT YOUR HELP.

Our official campaign is in the Seed&Spark approval process right now and our page is dropping next week.

Here’s the critical piece: IF WE CAN HIT 30% OF OUR GOAL IN THE FIRST 48 HOURS OF LAUNCHING, OUR CHANCES OF REACHING OUR FULL BUDGET AND GREENLIGHTING THIS FILM INCREASES EXPONENTIALLY. Momentum right out of the gate is everything on Seed&Spark—it’s an all-or-nothing platform, and we must hit 80% to receive a single dollar.

Please share this post, stay tuned, and turn on post notifications for @gruffstudios and @beyondmontion for updates on the exact minute the campaign drops.

Let’s rally behind these student filmmakers and give them the set they deserve.

🎬 Drop a ❤️ or comment to boost the algorithm and show this crew some love!
