YUP, WE STILL REALLY, REALLY LOVE THE SURF. 😮‍💨🏁🌊

Shaking the dust off the skull caps. Digging toes into the sandy start line. Launching at the sound of the whistle. Charging into the water as fast as humanly possible.

Oooh, it was TOO GOOD to be back racing with our RSS Community!

Beyond the racing, it was epic to see the energy every club brought to the beach. Despite the chilly weather, the atmosphere was electric from start to finish.

Safe to say, this is going to be a season to remember. 💯⚡️

ATT: OPEN MEN SURF MVPS.🔥

Two seasons of the Rescue Sport Series, four surf comps a season. So who kept turning up on the podium?

We went back through every Open Men’s result from SZN 1 and SZN 2 and counted individual podiums. Nine athletes recorded five or more.

Cody Stallard leads with 10, six of them in the ski. Troy McWilliam made nine swim podiums. Samuel Booysen made seven podiums and won all seven.

This isn’t just a points table. It’s a record of who delivered most often.

Who will continue to write their legacy as a real Open MVP this season?

Feeling really privileged to have competed at this years world surfski champs. I’m proud of my 5th place in u23 in the biggest field the sport has ever seen, in one of the coolest places I’ve ever been.

It takes a lot of time and sacrifice to do the things we do and it wouldn’t be possible without my friends and family, so to everyone who has helped me to get here, I am truly grateful.

🔥OCEAN RACING WORLD CHAMPS🔥

What an incredible weekend of racing for the ORKA athletes and squad at the ICF Ocean Racing World Champs. We could not be prouder of the results and multiple podium places achieved by this talented bunch of paddlers on the world stage. The hard work in the training, races and preparation all culminated here, and the future looks incredibly bright!

It doesn’t stop here, we now look forward to World Canoe Marathon Champs in Argentina, The Pete Marlin Surf Ski Race in East London, South Africa, World Surf Lifesaving Champs in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and the season closer, the Cape Point Challenge at home in Cape Town. We’re not done yet!

World Surfski Champs in Spain🇪🇸 was a special one for me came home on the day with a chocolate 🍫 medal and only 20 seconds away from 🥉. So much learnt and much more to be learnt.
