Exceptional whirlwind trip to Reeperbahn in Hamburg. Thank you to CIMA, Watson Entertainment and Aporia Records for all your support. It was my second time back and well worth the jetlagg. I find audiences in Germany to be very appreciative and kind. Many thanks. Till next time. C’est la vie ✈️

Surprisingly we've never had the chance to work with @davidfrancey before, on an actual concert. Odds of that were slim, but we're changing that to none, and hosting him on Sun, Nov 22 at the Westbury Theatre @edmontonfringe in the Arts Barns, 10330 84 Ave. We can't wait for this one, and tickets are on sale now folks. Go here to pick em up, while you can: https://tickets.fringetheatre.ca/event/601:7676/
doors open at 7:30 pm for this one. Parking is a bit tricky in the area so come early if you're driving.
See you in late November Edmonton!

Welcome to the weird. I hope everyone is doing alright out there.

One week from today, the new single “Drive” comes out, and I’m really excited for you to hear it. It’s a song that addresses the current moment we are living in and some of my feelings about it.

It was recorded with my friends Michele Stodart, Raevennan Husbandes, Sian Monaghan, Derek Downham, Saam Hashemi, Jimmy Bowskill, and Steve Connor at Union Sound Co. and Ganaraska Recording Co. earlier this year.

We recorded a bunch of songs, and I am honestly so proud of this piece of work and all that we’ve done.

Here’s a little snippet from our recording session.

If you have a minute, please pre-save it by going to the link in my bio. I’d really appreciate it.

Thank you all for continuing to support me and my music.

Much love 🖤🧡

Julian

Last night was magical. I was lucky enough to take home the award for Contemporary Singer of the Year at the 2026 Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Here’s what I wrote and said as I accepted this great honour. Much love to the folk music community and all my peers. I’m deeply touched.

Thank you. It’s an honour to be here among so many incredible artists and people. Everyone in this room is an inspiration not only to me but to the world and the world needs your healing gifts.

We’re so lucky and I am so grateful to share this space with you all. Sometimes it feels futile to celebrate when there is so much suffering in the world but I do think it is necessary for community to gather and build each other up which is what the Folk Music Community does time and time again Thank you to the Canadian Folk Music for this prestigious honour and congrats to all the nominees. Everyone’s a winner baby, that’s a fact.

Always remember that music is not a competition it is a rescue mission and we all have work to do. So keep writing, keep singing, keep collaborating and building. Together let’s show the world that love and compassion are bigger than hate and division and that unity is what’s going to help every living being here on the planet thrive and survive. Nia:wen to the creator and a special thanks to my family and friends for their unwavering support. I love you. 🖤🧡 Photo by Ryan Lindsay courtesy of @canadianfolkmusicawards

I just landed in Calgary for the Canadian Folk Music Awards. I am very excited to announce that I will be back for the Calgary Folk Festival in July. The last time I performed at the CFF, it was during the pandemic with social distancing. The organizers did a fantastic job of putting on an incredible show for the performers and the audience. It was magical. I can’t wait to come back with the full band. Hope to see you there!
