POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We’re so happy to share the last of three reels highlighting Special Merit winners from our recent Wildlife/Animals competition.

The Special Merit category is the top tier in our competitions, from which the three overall winners are selected. These entries excel in our four judging criteria: overall impression and impact, composition, technique and use of media, and creativity/originality. A Special Merit award means the artwork demonstrates technical skill, succeeds in compositional arrangement, has a “wow” factor, and exhibits true originality.

Congratulations to the artists!

From majestic lions to loved domestic companions, our Wildlife and Animal art competitions have drawn a breathtaking array of feline-inspired artwork from around the globe.

Each entry is a testament to the wild grace and quiet charm of these creatures—painted, sketched, and imagined in styles as varied as the artists themselves.

Whether fierce or tender, abstract or hyperreal, these pieces reveal the deep emotional resonance cats hold in our lives and legends. This reel is a tribute to cats’ beauty, power, and grace and to the artists who have portrayed them so beautifully.

You can enter our 2025 Wildlife Competition through September 28. Link in bio.

Happy Fathers Day to these 2 men I couldn’t be without in life.
My Dad who always has & I know always will do anything he can for us kids (& grandchild). We are incredibly lucky to have you & don’t tell you enough. One in a million ❤️ & to my Alex, Lily sure struck gold having you as her Daddy, we are so incredibly proud of you. While these past few months have been challenging to say the least, it’s been nice having you working from home & spending more time together as a family. It’s also made me realize more than ever how hard you work for our family. Who would’ve thought 19 years ago when a pre-Facebook social media site reconnected us, that we would leave to go traveling for a year 3 months later & achieve all we have since. I love you, we love you & we love our little family ❤️ xxx

Rose ‘My Hero’
By Alan Watters
Color Pencils
England “I drew this variety of rose, aptly named ‘My Hero’ to thank all the key workers who have risked their lives to protect others.

I am a part time support worker for adults with learning disabilities but frustratingly I’m currently self isolating and so have been drawing free portraits of hospital workers and during a break in doing these I drew the My Hero rose.

I am an artist and support worker but self isolating as my partner is in a highly vulnerable category.”
