EAST STREET BABY. 23/10/26.

The EP we thought would never come out, 3 years in the making, finally ready to show you all.

Me and wav16 were in a little studio off Stapleton road honing in on a new sound, making dozens of tracks we finally cut down to 7.

We wanted to create a body of work that told stories of south Bristol and working class struggle. A piece I could point to and say - that’s Sylla.

Huge thanks to @rowdyunofficial for creating this incredible painting of East Street for the cover art, it sets the tone perfectly.

There’s too many people to credit individually but thank you for all of your support in this east street baby campaign, it honestly means the world.

In Marns we trust ✍️

I’ve heard a lot of @marns_uk hype for a long time, but only over the summer did I actually properly listen. When I did, I was full of regret. I asked myself “why didn’t I listen sooner?” Believe the hype.

Soulful, bold, emotional, empowered, freeing. That’s the music I heard, and so I had to find out more on my latest @swu.fm show.

In our interview, we learn about her journey to being a full time artist, why having a manager is valuable, and break down the stigma behind ghostwriting.

The rest of the show was filled with a vibrant array of music from around the globe. The first 30 mins was some tracks I’ve been bumping, some pure different vibes. The second hour, I got into the mix for a bit, and played some new UK rap bangers.
