I cherish being merry, simple, and kind: much like a Hobbit 🌿 (and also a good book)

🍄HAPPY HOBBIT DAY!🍄

“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”

The fabulous staff of @fabledbookshop took that quote to heart and hosted The Great Baggins Bake Off tonight. What a wonderful way to celebrate the day and spread good cheer in the community.🍄

My heart grew two sizes tonight as I met so many revelers who showed up in full costume! I was in awe of the creativity of the delicious and beautiful entries in the baking competition. It was such a lovely and joyful way to spend an evening!

I am so thankful for our local indie bookshop and the delightful humans who work there. 🍄 if you are feeling overwhelmed with the world, I encourage you to head to the next event and make some new friends.

“I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay.”

🍄Happy Hobbit Day!
