Midweek lunch dates are my love language ☀️

Today it was The Waverly in Cardiff by the Sea, one of my favorite little escapes in Encinitas.

I went with the Caesar salad 🥗 and it did not disappoint.

Crisp, fresh, and exactly what a coastal lunch should taste like.

And the mocktails? So good I ordered a second 🍹 All the fun, none of the afternoon slump.

This is the part of coastal San Diego I never get tired of. Beach town energy, great food, and a slow lunch that feels like a mini vacation ✨

What should I order next time? Tell me below 👇

Pasta Therapy | Cavatelli

My first from scratch pasta ever was a short rib cavatelli at mastiff sausage company 8 years ago
.
Cavatelli is a small, hand-rolled Italian pasta with a distinctive shell-like shape that’s perfect for catching sauces. Traditionally made with semolina and water, it’s chewy, rustic, and ridiculously good with hearty sauces. 🍝

Pasta therapy | Ricotta Agnolotti |
.
My first ever time I made Agnolotti from scratch was at Nolita Hall 6 years ago. What a wonderful pasta
.
Agnolotti is a traditional Italian stuffed pasta, similar to ravioli but typically smaller and shaped into little pillows. Filled with everything from roasted meats to cheese or vegetables, it’s delicate, rich, and made for holding onto a beautiful sauce. 🍝

These are my current top 10 favorite North County restaurants you need to try if you haven’t already⭐️

Between the summer craziness of traveling, selling our house, remodeling the new place, and moving, I’ve still prioritized going out and enjoying date nights, girls’ nights and hosting out-of-town family.

These are some new spots and classic go-tos that I have been keeping in my summer rotation and needed to share!

It should come as no surprise that most of these spots are in Encinitas and Cardiff.

And honestly, this is just scratching the surface.

What’s your absolute favorite spot that I need to add to my list? Drop your recommendations below!👇

We’re down to the last handful of tickets and would love to see you there!

This is a come-as-you-are, stay-as-long-as-you-want kind of evening. We’ll have yummy things coming out of the @waverlycardiff kitchen throughout the event, and since we know some of you won’t be able to get there until after work, we’re staggering and repeating courses so everyone feels well fed and taken care of.

Come early, come late, stay for an hour, stay till the end. It would be so nice to celebrate with you! Tickets available at the link in our bios, including on our new devoted IG book account: @eatingforlifecookbook

See you Tuesday ❤️
