Electronic Artist and Producer -
New Album Unbreakable Soul (and Singles) Out Now!
Track the Wulf here:

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What it feels like to be on the pulse of my music? I guess I should know better than anyone else. It would be fair to label my solo work as electronic, mostly electropop. But every now and again, there is something different. In my solo work it’s definitely “Cosmic Roses”, a triphop space ballad. I think my producer Xentinel was drawing some inspiration from Massive Attack. I like some triphop myself, my first introduction to triphop was Morcheeba

My first music collaboration happened with the UK coldwave artist truthscan. Gary was looking for other artists to reimagine his song “Filter Bubble”, and I was one of them. I recommend to visit truthscan Bandcamp page to find more about his music. I really like that Gary writes about modern topics, with a sharp social commentary and wit

I’ve done a few songs with the elements of spoken word. Sometimes the rhythm dictates narrating rather than singing. “Permafrost” is the first collaborative track I did with Wavewulf, the electronic music composer from the USA. This is a fairly experimental piece of music, but I hope I did it enough justice. Funnily enough, the lyrics finally came to me after I exposed myself to -30 degrees temperature

“Pagan Landscape” with the UK artist and saxophone virtuoso Richard Davies is another example of spoken word on my part. Sometimes collaborators give me freedom to write my own lyrics or suggest lyrical ideas. But in this case the words were written by Richard, and I liked them so much that I didn’t feel like I would want to add anything extra

I’ve done few covers too, and one of them was “Mr Crowley” originally performed by Ozzy Osbourne. I worked with Ulf from Projekt Ich on a bilingual track before, and again doing a cover for originally metal song sounded like something outside of my creative comfort zone. I surprised myself yet again :)

Of course, there are other collaborative tracks I am proud of, but I also have to wrap up…for now. You can find all these fine artists I mentioned on Bandcamp and dive deeper into their catalogue 🌊 🎶 #electronic #triphop #spokenword #experimental #collaboration

Sharing a bit of “Dark Wave Mix” of “Only the Ocean Knows” last week made me think that I could do the same with two rare remixes of my collaborative tracks. Yes, they all appear on the Winter Collection of @stateless_bass sampler, but I will try to buy my logic with that, at least, one of the remixes was produced by an Aussie @montage.collective :D In any case even the lyrics for “Permafrost” that I wrote for @wavewulf is about a metaphorical freezing. For people like me there is a salvation in music and feeling something, which makes us immune to becoming ice queens and kings 🧊:D

The other remix was @kiffie.info music vision for “VR Chained” that we did with @projektichmusik When writing the lyrics for this song, I wanted to add the element of hope, as this is something that I normally do. But because this is essentially about being with a digital (but “realistic” enough) replica of someone you loved and lost forever, it would be hypocritical to pretend it could be the same experience.

I hope you will like these little snippets, and who knows, maybe some day I will have a release with rare remixes available on streaming :) #electronic #remix #rare #sampler #collaboration

I could have used today as the excuse to do some post that might have left you wondering whether I was joking or not. But instead I decided to do a “carousel” of my collaborations over the years. With some of the artists I have worked more than once, so I may as well do another “collaborative carousel” in future. You shouldn’t get dizzy…

I had quite an active period of working with the others during 2021-2022, and these are some of the creative examples from that period. Each collaboration taught me something new and different. As a gesture of gratitude, I would like to highlight these artists today, and if you’re looking for some underground electronic music to explore, you certainly could dig into their sound. They are all on Bandcamp:

New York based Electronic Artist & Producer Wavewulf (aka. Nicholas Long) has been playing synthesisers since he was in middle school. Long grew up listening to his father play guitar as well as to his father’s extensive record collection, which included bands such as Pink Floyd and The Beatles.
Returning with his fifth album ‘Unbreakable Soul‘, he has collaborated again with Christopher John Donato on drums, percussion and guitars as well as Chase Walker (of the Chase Walker Band) on guitars, and vocalists/songwriters’ Nala Spark, LiAura, Monica Young, Veronika Jokel, Emily Fraser (aka. EmmaLay) and Dasha Larks (aka. Pulse Lab) on vocals.
The album is an exploration of the human soul and it’s transcendence in an ever changing world Wavewulf’s influences include many of the New Wave and synthesiser-based artists and bands
of the 1970’s through to the 90’s.

Since the last armchair promo did really well, I felt encouraged to do another one :D I may be sitting on a lemon tree at the moment, but if you consider supporting any of these releases, you will help us see the blue, blue sky. No, it’s not my fever speaking, it’s a reference to “Lemon Tree” song 🍋🌳 The CDs shown in the video still have some copies left:

Hello Ok!tober! 👌🏼It is surprisingly bright here today, and if you don’t look outside to see people in jackets and coats, you may trick yourself into thinking it’s a spring day…What will come as no surprise is if you head to State of Bass, you will discover a variety of sounds and moods: melancholic electropop, chaotic disco, ambitious experiments and more: https://stateofbass.bandcamp.com These are some of physical copies from the label, not all of them could fit the frame, more awaits on Bandcamp 🧐🎧 We put lots of love into our releases, and I hope you will be able to feel it too 💙🎶 If you access my Pulse Lab page via State of Bass, you will also be able to see Bandcamp links for the music of the producers who helped me with my “Lab Notes” album. Support human art, it’s one of the last things that keeps us humane #electronic #electropop #darkwave #disco #dance #experimental #bandcampfriday #uk #australia #finland #usa
