On July 26 2016, Lil Peep went live on Periscope to talk about the new place he had just moved into in Los Angeles. Known as “The Loft”, the place was located on Skid Row, and the location became most known for being where Peep and his collaborators would record most of his “Hellboy” mixtape.

I have included some of his livestream here. You can see how happy he was; according to Liza, The Loft was “Gus’s dream place. He was immensely proud and excited to move into it. He called me one night to tell me all about it. He told me all about Skid Row, about the hundreds of tents. He was amazed at it all.” Peep texted her the photo on the first slide to show off his new “bedroom” in the open-plan flooring area. The photo I have included of Peep and Nedarb was taken outside of their place, on Skid Row.

On July 28, @mikeycortez covered up Peep’s Playboy bunny face tattoo with a rose tattoo. He also tatted @sus_christ on the same day, who had spent the last few weeks in Los Angeles. Perhaps the most exciting thing to Peep about this place was that it provided him with a big open space to work with his collaborators, all hours of the day and night, and many would filter in and out. He saw it as, essentially, an “artist’s workshop.”

At the end of July, he dropped the original “Vote For Peep” shirts on his shop. He took a photo modelling one at The Loft. This would also have been the period in which he travelled to Santa Monica with @yunggoth300 on a bus one morning, and got his pink panther tattoo from a random artist.

On July 31, the song “Gucci Mane” was created. It was first song completed for his upcoming “breakthrough” tape, Hellboy.
