This was the part of our Chichen Itza tour where me and @way2rae learned about the ritualistic cannibalism practiced by the ancient Mayans. The highest-ranking warriors or captives from the opposing side would be laid out here before being opened up (while still alive) before having their hearts pulled out and eaten. Like any other normal people, we also spent the morning walking around these sacred sites while singing Enya.

Never schedule a man on the street shoot two days after a blizzard. Unless you know New Yorkers. Our client called from out of state and asked if we should cancel. We said no. Because by storm seven of the winter New Yorkers aren’t bundled inside. They’re annoyed. And annoyed New Yorkers have opinions. They talk. We also didn’t just show up anywhere. We chose a location with high foot traffic and a park entrance. Because if someone is cutting through a park in post blizzard weather they’re already telling you something about themselves. They’re not in a rush. They’re open. Add two hosts who can stop a stranger mid stride on the mean streets of New York and you have the conditions for something real. The sun came out. The people came out. And what happened next felt like it was written for us. More to come in the full case study! 😀

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we want to show our gratitude to all the amazing clients that gave us a lovely and busy Fall: (1-5) Last week we partnered with @woocommerce to feature entrepreneurs of @economycandy , @brodo , @vahanplus of @wjdexclusives , @claudiaillustration , and @boostoxygen ! (6-7) We’ve also had the pleasure of working with our West coast friends at Writer, on their employer brand video and @qualcomm case study projects, (8-10) And even spent some time in Vegas with our friends at @braze for Forge 2024 where we produced their conference opener videos, featuring the one and only @elbertocolon ! (11) @malikyoba also swung by our office for another stellar interview with the charismatic @producergana for @learnfilmmaking . (12-13) Our strong partnership with @cornerstoneondemand continued this Fall with a Pilot Podcast with @kerknapp_ (Kate Rotunno) and @tofindyourfit (Cindy Edwards). As well as another EXCELent Excel project with @way2rae . (14-16) Another great partnership with @neoscapeinc for @nyphospital where we had the privilege of recording an interview with CEO Dr. Steven J. Corwin and Jerry Speyer. (17) Fantastic shoot with the CEO of @generalassembly , Daniele Grassi. (18) Event coverage of the Regardless of Frontiers symposium for @knightinstitute . (19) Materialize came in for an amazing lightboard demo. (20) And last but not least partnering with the great folks from @siialliance to interview @nmalliotakis ! It’s a long list of clients, but we wouldn’t want to have it any other way. We want to thank everyone we’ve worked with this Fall, and we’re excited to keep growing the list of our wonderful collaborators! #Room3 #Room3nyc #Chelsea #nyc #manhattan #sayhellotogreatvideo #videoproducers #contentproducers #filmmaking #productionhouse #filmstudio #photostudio #studio #video #professional #Learnfilmmaking #contentcreators #fallflex
