Tonight we celebrated this remarkable woman, who has brought so much joy to our little corner of the Catskills.

For ten years, Wayside Cider has weathered the ups and downs of country life, bringing great music, fantastic food, the best tipples, the wonderfully eclectic Oh Boy Market, an independent spirit and a whole lot of fun to Andes, NY.

At the heart of it all is Irene, whose vision, modesty and sheer determination have made Wayside so much more than a cider house.

Here’s to Irene, and to everyone who’s cooked, poured, played, created and contributed to the magic over the past decade.

Ten years in a tiny mountain town. No small feat. Andes wouldn’t be the same without you. ❤️.

It has been such an honor to be a part of the business community of Delaware County for these past 10 years. Running a small taproom in a rural area can be quite challenging, and simply wouldn’t be possible without an abundance of support from your community, and I feel so fortunate to have had that.

From the amazing staff at Wayside (past and present) to our loyal and beloved regulars, to the other business owners who have guided, mentored, and vented with me along the way, it has truly taken a village to raise this taproom! Hope to see you all on Saturday to help us celebrate and get a jump start on the next 10!

Wayside Cider in Andes is celebrating its 10th birthday this weekend with a great big bash on Saturday from 3pm - 8pm.
The marvelous Shaye Troha has recently taken the reigns as General Manager and Events Coordinator and Charlie is keeping the drinks flowing as new bar manager.
