Our lovely Nat, @NatalieGithinji, in the Mara, with dust on her boots and a laugh you could hear from the next vehicle over. We did not know then that things would change.

Since August, Natalie has been through surgery, a stretch in ICU, and a stage 4 endometriosis diagnosis. She is home now, healing slowly, and still doing what she has always done, saying it out loud so that other women do not have to guess at what is happening inside their own bodies.

Endometriosis affects around one in ten women of reproductive age. Diagnosis, surgery, medication and long term care are carried privately, by women already in pain, often after years of being told it is normal.

That is a policy gap, and policy gaps close when enough people refuse to look away. To the whole of Kenya: women living with endo need coverage, faster diagnosis, and care that does not empty a bank account. Natalie is family here. She rode with us, ate with us, and made the #BountifulCreatorsClub impeccable.

So we want to ask you something. When she is fully back on her feet, where should we take her? Tell us in the comments. Somewhere she has never set foot. We are reading every one of them.

On the list of things I never thought I would do after the year I had last year, smile.

But look at me smiling y’all! And posing voluntarily for photos! I am not the most optimistic person in the room but I can say this without fear of contradiction (wau I sound like a loya) is it will be okay.

That’s why I keep telling you it will be a good day, because manifesting is free why would you manifest for a bad day? Why would you imagine having a bad day?😂 na leo ikikataa, unalala you try again the next day!

Vile life iko structured ni the day will end anyway. So if it was a bad day, itaisha. And sadly if it was a good day, itaisha pia. So be happy bad days end and when the good ones come, pause and feel.

There are so many things that are not in our power but some are, so we need to not miss them. Little pockets of joy, a reel that makes you laugh? Food delivery? Miwa kwa fridge ( 😂😂sitaki kuskia kitu), as we force to make it let’s also force a little bit of joy…
