EXTENDED THROUGH MARCH 8!

Artistry is honored to announce the cast for Katori Hall’s THE MOUNTAINTOP, running February 12 – March 8, 2026. This production is a powerful reminder that the "mountain" is not climbed by one man alone, but through the shared strength of a community.

Set in the Lorraine Motel on the eve of his assassination, we meet a weary Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. facing his legacy.

We are thrilled to welcome two incredible local actors who will bring this story to life:
✨ Mikell Sapp (Penumbra Theatre's PARADISE BLUE) as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
✨ Tyler Susan Jennings ('24- '25 Children’s Theatre Company Performing Apprentice) as Camae

Directed by the esteemed Warren C. Bowles, this reimagining shifts our focus from the icon to the man. Through a spirited, humorous, and deeply human conversation with a maid named Camae, we see how "greatness" is rooted in the small, everyday actions of those around us. It is a story that proves hope is a craft we build together, one person and one moment at a time.

As Executive Artistic Director Kelli Foster Warder shares, “Dr. King’s vision remains a steady light for us... It’s a beautiful reminder.”

Join us in the Black Box Theater to witness a story of warmth, humor, and the enduring power of community.

Tickets are available now: Link in bio.
