POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What an incredible experience riding 100km across Germany's Baden route. 4,500ft of elevation, sun beaming down and unbeatable company.

It was also a reminder as to how little representation there is of women of colour in spaces like this.
We stood out at every turn - but perhaps in doing so, we helped break a glass ceiling or two...

There are still people who look at women in hijab and assume we couldn't or wouldn't do things like this. And that's exactly why showing up matters.

It's not about being the fastest or the strongest (yet) but as women of colour we're paving the way for others to see that we belong. To give it a go, take up space and be a part of the experience.

A huge hats off to @la.reine.strictly.female who delivered on a stunning route, electric atmosphere and overall epic experience. It was a privilege to be a part of it.

Sometimes simply turning up can be a powerful statement.

Germany 🇩🇪 what an incredible trip filled with friendship, cycling and laughter. ❤️

We had the best time riding through the beautiful Baden route with @la.reine.strictly.female thank you @wccc_uk , then switching for a couple of days of exploring. We cycled through the Black Forest, raced down the mountainside on a rollercoaster before taking on a very hilly trek to the suspension bridge.

A perfect little reset with plenty of adventure, sore legs, and lots of laughs along the way.

A beautiful quote from @samlakfood:
Our race, our identity, and who we are should never limit what we can achieve.

Sport is powerful. Sport is a voice. Sport brings us together.

Don’t stop. Keep pushing. Keep showing up.
🔥❤️🔥❤️

Meet Women of Colour Cycling Collective (WCCC) - one of the komoot x All The Elements Community Fund recipients!

🌱 WCCC is a grassroots, member-led cycling community for women, trans and non-binary people from global majority backgrounds. The community exists to address the under-representation of women of colour and marginalised genders within cycling and outdoor spaces They empower cyclists across the UK by building community, providing training, and creating opportunities for people to ride and thrive in cycling.

They will use this fund to deliver a free learn-to-cycle programme in London, launching this weekend! This programme is for both existing members who haven't yet learned to ride and new participants interested in accessing cycling in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment. The programme will include a series of lessons followed by confidence building rides. Following the programme participants will have the opportunity to continue engaging with their regular group rides and community activities, creating long-term pathways into outdoor participation.

Women of Colour Cycling Collective hope that through this programme participants will gain confidence, improve their physical and mental wellbeing and build social connections through a supportive group environment resulting in lasting friendships and peer support networks.

Congratulations again to Women of Colour Cycling Collective - we are so excited to support your work!

🚨 LAST CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 🚨

Can you help us reach folks that might benefit from our support to enter the Struggle Hill Climb? 🙏🙏🙏

We’re offering to sponsor the entries for a few riders from under-represented groups again at this year’s Struggle Hill Climb on 20 September. 🤟👍👋

We know the entry fee is only a few pounds, but what we’ve found in the 5-6 years that we’ve been offering this sponsorship is that by giving folks that might not otherwise feel they would fit in the backing and support they need - they’ve thrived in the welcoming arms of the hill climb community. This really is one of the warmest friendliest places in cycling. Once you take the plunge. 🐮🛎️📯

So, if you think you’d like our support to bring you into this world, and you come from a community that’s not traditionally represented in cycling events in the UK - please get in touch to apply for our sponsorship at this year’s Struggle Hill Climb - DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS TODAY (6 September). There’s a link in our bio to the simple application form (https://forms.gle/5qN33nWLFfDDkaGW6) - or you can message us or email racing@colddarknorth.co.uk 📧📋✅

We’d love to support your effort! 🙏🙏🙏

It’s just a little Struggle! 🙄🫣😱

But sometimes the little things help a lot and that is why we’re offering to sponsor the entries for a few riders from under-represented groups again at this year’s Struggle Hill Climb on 20 September. 🤟👍👋

We’re excited to announce the recipients of the 2026 komoot x All the Elements Community Fund! 🎉

Now in its second year, the fund supports community organizations that are helping more people access, enjoy, and feel welcome in the outdoors.

This year, we’re proud to support six inspiring organizations that are breaking down barriers to hiking, cycling, and trail running for underrepresented communities across the UK:

🌿 Fences & Frontiers

🚲 Bike Dykes

🧗 ClimbMuz

🥾 ESEA Outdoors UK

🚴 Women of Colour Cycling Collective

🏃‍♀️ Black Trail Runners

From helping refugees and asylum seekers discover the countryside to creating inclusive cycling programs, developing future outdoor leaders, and increasing representation in trail running, these organizations are opening up new ways for more people to experience and belong in the outdoors.

We’re incredibly proud to support their work and can’t wait to follow their journeys over the coming year.

A huge thank you to our partners at @alltheelements_ for helping make this possible.

We are so excited to share the recipients of the 2026 @komoot x All The Elements Community Fund! 🎉

This year, six All The Elements Community members have been awarded £1000 to support their work improving access and representation in the UK outdoors:

🌱 Climb Muz @climbmuz_c.i.c
🌱 Bike Dykes @bike.dykes
🌱 Fences & Frontiers @fencesandfrontiers
🌱 Black Trail Runners @blacktrailrunners
🌱 Women of Colour Cycling Collective @wccc_uk
🌱 ESEA Outdoors UK @eseaoutdoorsuk

Congratulations to all six recipients - we are so excited to support your work and can’t wait to see what you do with the funding!

As there were no restrictions on how the fund could be used a range of different projects have been supported, from mountain hut stays to beginner cycling lessons, leadership training to safety equipment.

The projects supported show an insight into the variety of the different ways that communities are helping to increase access to hiking, running and cycling - read more about their work via our news page, link in bio!

This is our second year working in partnership with komoot, and we are delighted that for 2026 we have been able to increase the number of funding pots available.

Saturday 1st August wasn't just the start of a new month, it was also our very first time trading at a @blackunitybikeride event, and it's safe to say we'll be first in line when next year's applications are out 🤭.

The day was the true definition of UNITY. People from all walks of life came together, shared good vibes, and created unforgettable memories. It was incredible to be part of such a positive atmosphere.

Things got even more memorable when we witnessed a Dust Devil (slide 6 🌪️🫪). It was honestly one of the scariest things we've ever seen, but definitely a moment we'll never forget.

We want to thank the lovely and funny customers we served throughout the day. You all kept us on our feet, made us feel so welcomed and entertained 😂😂

#Antonetteharrison ...you warned us to rest before it got busy, but it was too late 😂😂😂😂. We should have listened to you right from the start🤦🏾‍♀️🤭 But it was all worth it. Thank you for all your help and support throughout the application process, and right up until the event finished. You're a star ⭐ ⭐

A huge thank you to @blackeatsldn for giving us this opportunity. We're so grateful for the exposure and for being part of such an amazing event.

A few weeks ago, Manchester welcomed the @blackunitybikeride and what a day it was. 🚴🏾‍♀️♥️🖤💚

There was rain, then sunshine, but most importantly there was unity. Seeing people of all ages and abilities riding together, reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and celebrating community reminded us why events like this matter so much.

Now it’s London’s turn.

📍 1 August 2026

If you’re in or around London, come along, bring your bike and be part of something special. Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or just enjoy riding for fun, everyone is welcome.

A huge thank you to @blackunitybikeride for bringing this movement to Manchester—we can’t wait to see what London looks like.

July 2026
Black joy. Black excellence. Black unity.

Manchester showed up! What a day celebrating @blackunitybikeride alongside the incredible @beepedalready an inspiring all-female organisation changing lives by helping more women gain the confidence, skills and freedom to ride.

The streets were alive with energy and carnival vibes as cycling groups from across the UK rolled out together to celebrate our community, increase representation, remind the world that cycling belongs to everyone but most of all, have fun!!

It was amazing to share the road with groups @wccc_uk @blackcyclistsnetwork
@twr_cic . It's always a pleasure to see old friends @rhianesworld and meet new

With London's Ride coming up (1st August 2026) we have another chance to ride together for health, visibility, friendship, culture and showing the next generation what's possible. Every pedal stroke breaks down barriers and builds stronger, healthier communities.

A massive thank you to everyone who organised, volunteered and rode. The atmosphere was electric, the conversations were inspiring and the smiles said it all.

Here's to riding together, lifting each other up and making sure every road is open to everyone.

Keep pedalling. Keep connecting. Keep showing up. 🖤🚴🏾
