Very excited to announce our self-titled EP will be released November 5th, on @nosoap.world Four new songs that were recorded and mixed at the start of the year, in @pocketsounds_studio by our favourite @e.g.g.meltzer. The second single, Wide Open, came out today – go give it a spin. Massive massive thanks to Ed for doing such an amazing job as always, and @izzymcpheeaudio for mastering. To mark the release we’ll be playing a headline show at The Safari Lounge on the 7th of November. We’ll be joined by the inimitable @dylb.band and @we_are_blaw. Tickets available via Communal Leisure (link in bio) – spaces are pretty limited for this one so don’t hold off too long.. We can’t wait. See you there ★

filling the cultural void left by the festival season this year (good riddance 2026 fringe!) - we’re bringing you three experimental acts from the central belt to soothe your pedestrian rage after experiencing everyone’s first day on earth for a whole month: otis jordan is a glasgow-based musician and artist from manchester making experimental folk music with traditional acoustic instruments, electronic sounds, field recordings, homemade instruments, and other materials. otis’s latest work assembles a range of melodic themes that jump in between various sound worlds, bringing in the touches of a number of his musician friends. otis sometimes performs alone and other times with friends. we are not sure whether it will be a solo/band setup yet, but if you come you’ll find out! pat’s soundhouse is a filipino composer and improvising musician. having recently graduated with a degree in composition from the royal conservatoire of scotland, pat has amassed a large online following in recent months by posting videos of himself playing the khaen, a mouth organ from laos made with bamboo tubes of varying lengths. serene soundscapes and the sweet textures of guitar, synth, and a number of other instruments combine in pat’s recent work. we are excited to see what he brings for this performance after a stellar guest appearance on slipping’s ehfm show last month. blaw is a new noise rock trio comprised by local scene legends kieron (cowboy builder, px4m, bamya, and about 50 other bands. we can’t list them all), artist fiona beveridge (pal, px4m) and mb (overall legend). taking from influences like sonic youth, pram, and maybe even the raincoats, these guys will be bringing some angst and fuzz to the evening with fresh songs and brand new sound. as always do message us here or at hello.technician(at)proton.me if you have any queries. no one will be turned away for lack of funds, so do let us know if that’s a barrier to you and we will put you on the guestlist no questions asked. tickets link in the bio!

Next show announcement at the shop 📢 On Saturday 4th July we have @___px4m___ presenting an evening of music by Gichard @gichardband Ellen ER, and Blaw @we_are_blaw 24 Hour Window will be doing a takeover of the shop window platform featuring an art installation by Perry O’Bray 🌟 @24hourwindow @buffetlunchband Some info about the event ~ Doors will open at 7.30pm, we have a limited number of advance tickets available online (link in bio) & will probably have some on the door too! GICHARD are Lisa and Chas ex Dragged Up and the latter also ex VOM and I’m sure more bands I never even heard of. It’s a mix of styles but most of it sounds like the guitars been baked in the oven for a bit before going on stage with real slice of life lyrics. We’ve announced the show in time to tell you that their new album on Night School, Chins for Lefty is doing pretty good, airplay on the BBC, monorail music album of the month etc. ELLEN ER are the opening band stars of Edinburgh’s firmament and half the things the do might be too wild and unhinged for Settlement. I’ll ask them. Tangential & related to Stall Girls + Ogmogs Sound Banquet. BLAW are a new band with everybody that does the door at PX4M shows and I don’t know who’s going to do the door while we’re playing let me know if you’re interested. (Door position has been filled)
