What to do when all the ‘entry-level’ roles are no longer ‘entry’ level... 🥴

Join The Arena and James McLearie from @we_are_represent for this free, 1hr online workshop on how emerging creatives can break the catch-22 of needing experience to get experience 🙅‍♀️

We’ll look at practical ways to build experience and make your work work harder for you — from passion projects and spec work to volunteering opportunities and other ways to get your foot in the door 🚪

We’ll finish with an open Q&A with an extra special guest, @davebainuk, giving you the chance to ask your burning questions and get advice directly from people in the industry.

Whether you’re a designer, illustrator, or another kind of emerging creative, you’ll learn how to create opportunities for yourself and turn them into a pathway towards freelance work and full-time roles.

Dave is a Bristol-based freelance commercial illustrator, working across editorial, promotional, advertising, branding and publishing commissions.

🗓️ Monday 26th Oct
⏰ 7-8pm
📍Virtual (Zoom)

100 Rejections ✋🔴

Week 4 @d_and_ad New Blood Academy

Every artist collects them: closed doors, unanswered emails, “not quite right for us.”

But every NO taught me something:
📝 Every no is feedback. It shows me what isn’t working yet.
✂️ Every no sharpens the work. I edit, rethink and rebuild.
💪 Every no makes you stronger. I come back more certain of what I’m making.

Read it backwards and NO becomes ON.

So I keep going on. 🔁

What’s the rejection that made your work better? Tell me below 👇
