It's true. Soundwave is officially undergoing an indefinite hiatus. This was not an easy decision to make, but a decision that came after much self-reflection and prayer, and unfortunately the time just feels right. Soundwave has been part of my life for almost six years now. Six years of my life I devoted to this project and I loved every single second of it. But unfortunately the creative well is dry. Which is a scary space to be in but here we are. At some point I will return to Soundwave and we will come back with full force. But now is not that time. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. You are the reason why Soundwave exists in the first place and for that I am forever grateful. But for now it's time that I let Soundwave take a much needed nap. Hopefully it doesn't drift off into an eternal slumber.

Soundwave my pride and joy is officially celebrating its fifth year as an entity today. To think that this random idea that I had when I was 21 has lasted this long is absurd to me. I'm super thankful to everyone who has supported my journey so far as I try to figure out what Soundwave is and what it means to me. It's safe to say that it's been such a big part of my life and it still continues to open doors that I thought would never be open to me, and that's wild to think about. Over the past few years we not only sponsored our very first show but we have been fortunate and grateful enough to be able to partner with so many different creators that are genuinely great creatives that share this similar passion and drive that I have for whatever you call this silly page. We also recently started our very own podcast! which has been such a blessing for me and is something that I genuinely enjoy doing! And to think that there's so much more to be done and so many more places to take it is absolutely wild! To say that I am super excited for the future of Soundwave is an understatement. The future is extremely bright! We will continue to grow! And we will continue to evolve! So from the bottom of my heart thank you so much to everyone who has supported Soundwave over the past FIVE YEARS! That's half a decade. Here's to what's next!

The final Furnace Fest. And what a wild one its going to be. Spent a good portion of my life surrounded by such a loving and supportive community that is kind hearted, inclusive, and most importantly generous. It's gonna be hard without you but hey we get one last time together. I'll be there. The Soundwave crew will be there. Our friends will be there (shouts out to @emeryofficial @idlethreatnsh @slowjoyslowjoy @commodity_bham @delta.hate @allinhc @ohsleepertx and the rest of our friends) sharing the stage with such legendary acts. There's so many feelings going through me that is indescribable. I'M SO STOKED! LET'S GO! "This is my therapy, You breathe life into me.
