Day 12
I had a great day on 2 wheels. After leaving the hotel I figured it would hot again like yesterday. There was a cool breeze coming in from the west. The views just kept getting better and better. I happened upon a little spot over a crest called playa de recession. Beautiful spot, there were campers and people staying there. I met margarito. He had a klr and I thought he was the same guy next to me on the ferry. He wasn't. I asked him if he need help with a picture. He was solo traveling to and was taking video and pictures for his family. Its kind of strange that were both doing a solo trip and happened upon each other and we're doing the same thing. We both wrote out familys names in the sand and took pictures. His was Cesar and Omar. Mine kody and Kyle. We said our goodbyes and I carried on through the crests and canyons with incredible views over the bays. There were a ton of spots I wish I could have stopped. As I moved north I was basically out of cell service and I couldn't check distance anymore but the gas services were getting farther and farther apart. I had half a tank and stopped to ask how much farther. She informed me that I wasn't going to make it. So I got some food, met a sweet dog. Which has been plentiful this trip. Got some barrel gas and moved on a hotel. When I showed up there were already a few bikes here. Some of the guys had gotten some drinks and food and were leaving to go setup tents. I was greeting by 2 guys going across the street for beers. I told them I'd buy em one. When I got back from putting my things away we sat down and they were so kind to let me hang out. We have some conversation about a broad spectrum of topics. Fantastic guys riding up and down baja on appropriate bikes. I hope the rest of their trip goes well. It was getting late so I went to the restaurant to get a to go order but a couple asked me to sit with them. We spoke for hours. They shared rolled cigarettes and I shared my last bottle of malort. They are extremely well traveled, smart and kind people. Truly inspiring. We closed the place down and I headed for bed. Headed for ensenada.

1996 John Deere Gator 6x4

This @johndeere gator came into the shop after sitting in a barn for 10+ year. Rodents had chewed through the wiring harness and created nests throughout the vehicle. A new wire harness was installed, the carb was rebuilt, new air filter, engine oil & filter, transmission fluid, differential fluid, and new seats.
