The reveal: Ashley is a Cool Summer! 🩵

In the last video, we explored how Ashley’s complexion responded to warm versus cool colors—and discovered that she has a cool undertone.

The cool drapes brought clarity and balance to her complexion and allowed her natural rosy coloring to come forward.

But identifying undertone is only the beginning.

As we continued through Ashley’s analysis, we found that not only is she cool, she’s a beautiful Cool Summer—a palette defined by coolness, softness, and gentle contrast.

Now watch what happens as we drape Ashley in some of her best Cool Summer colors.

These cool, gently muted shades don’t compete with her natural coloring or demand our attention.

Instead, they create a beautiful sense of harmony. Her complexion looks smooth and even, her eyes brighten, and her natural coloring takes center stage.

Rather than seeing the colors first, we see Ashley. ✨

That’s the beautiful thing about finding your seasonal palette. It’s not just about discovering which colors look good on you. It’s about understanding which colors allow you to look your best.

The right colors don’t compete with your natural beauty—they reveal it.

Cool or warm? What do you see?

One of the first things we evaluate during a color analysis is undertone—how the complexion responds to warm colors versus cool colors.

Watch Kelsey’s complexion as we compare a warm red with a cool red, followed by warm cream and cool white.

In each comparison, the warm color is the top drape and the cool color is underneath.

Look beyond whether you like the color itself and notice what happens to her features.

In the cooler red and crisp white, Kelsey’s skin looks clearer and more vibrant.

Her features become more defined, and her natural coloring is illuminated.

Notice, too, what happens as the warmer drapes are removed.

The appearance of shadows and texture—and even a yellow cast on her skin—created by the warm red and cream begins to disappear.

Rather than seeing the drape first, we see Kelsey.

That’s what we’re looking for in a color analysis: not simply whether a color is beautiful, but how the complexion responds to it. ✨

Are you wondering if you’ll “see it”—the effect different colors have on you?

Rachel of the amazing @weirdough.cookie.co and @shophearthandharvest wondered the same thing. And then the draping began. ✨

Rachel came into her analysis thinking she had a cool undertone, but as we compared warm and cool colors, she saw the difference for herself.

The warmer colors brought greater clarity, warmth, and brightness to her complexion. Her features came forward. Her eyes became more defined. And ultimately, we discovered that Rachel is a beautiful True Spring—a palette defined by warmth, clarity, and brightness.

And judging by these reactions, it’s clear she saw it. 🤍

One of my favorite parts of a color analysis is watching that moment happen—when you begin to see the difference yourself and understand what it feels like when a color truly harmonizes with you.

The right colors don’t compete with your natural beauty—they reveal it.

Gold or silver? ✨

Metallics are another piece of the color harmony puzzle.

During Jamie’s analysis, we compared different metals to see which ones best complemented her natural coloring. As a True Summer, Jamie is beautifully supported by cool, softly muted metallics—and gunmetal silver is especially harmonious on her.

Notice how the deeper, cooler silver seems to push her forward and lift everything rather than pull her down and into it.

Her complexion looks smooth and balanced, her eyes come forward, and the metal becomes part of the overall picture rather than the first thing you see.

The gold, by comparison, feels more separate from Jamie. Your eyes notice the metal long before they notice her.

That’s what we’re looking for in a color analysis: not simply whether a color is beautiful, but whether it allows you to be the focus.

For Jamie, gunmetal silver does exactly that. 🩶✨

The reveal: Jamie is cool. 🩵

If you guessed cool in my previous video, you were right!

As we moved from warm to cool drapes, Jamie’s complexion became clearer and more luminous, her features came into focus, and everything began to feel more harmonious.

But undertone is only the beginning.

As we continued through the analysis, we discovered that Jamie is a beautiful True Summer—a palette defined by coolness, softness, and understated elegance.

Watch what happens as we drape her in some of her best True Summer colors.

These cool, softly muted shades don’t overpower Jamie to become the focus.

Nor do they compete with her natural coloring.

Instead, they push Jamie forward so that she becomes the first thing you see.

Her complexion looks beautifully even, her eyes come into focus, her hair takes on a beautiful sheen, and you see Jamie first.

This is what color harmony looks like. ✨

Cool or Warm? What do you see?

One of the first things we evaluate during a color analysis is undertone—how the complexion responds to cool colors versus warm colors.

Watch Jamie’s complexion as we move between cool (top drape) and warm (bottom drape).

Look beyond whether you like the color itself and notice what happens to her features.

Does her skin look clearer and more vibrant?

Do shadows soften or become more noticeable?

Does her natural coloring come forward—or does the color become the first thing you see?

✨ What’s your guess: cool or warm?

Tell me in the comments, and I’ll reveal Jamie’s undertone tomorrow!
