🥳Worthiness is taught to us.

❓Children don’t understand context of a distressed or distracted parent —that they lost their job, that they’re going through a hard time, that there’s a divorce…. They only ‘feel’ and integrate, inadvertently, that ‘they are not good enough’ to be looked at/ ‘seen.’

👧🏼Little creatures, all of us, before the age of reason (which is seven or eight) rely on nonverbal cues such as connectedness in eyes of our caregivers— to 👀 at us admiringly, 👀at us and love us in our poorest most authentic selves- the self that is who we truly are when we entered this world. This is to be ‘seen’.

It’s our earliest confirmation that we’re ‘special’ and deserve adoration.

For those out there, whose parents were in pain, choose to be seen in your adulthood and choose discipline to leave those who don’t see you.

For the parents out there who are distracted and down, feel free to bring in people who love you to ‘see’ your child when you can’t ❤️‍🩹

UNPLUGGED // SAFETY VIDEO

STOP LETTING A TOXIC CARTOON OWL CONTROL YOUR LIFE 🦉

When we discovered people were genuinely anxious about breaking their Duolingo streak during a 72-hour digital detox with @unplugged.rest our collective jaws hit the floor.

So, we did what any sane creative agency would do - we made a safety-style film for guests staying at an Unplugged cabin - think @british_airways but for people terrified of being offline… 🛜

And who better to lead the safety demonstration then the brilliantly talented @munyachawawa - working with the amazing team at @attachmentldn

And yep, that’s founder of Unplugged, Hector, in the owl costume…!

Our 2025 Culture Report is here. The dos and don’ts of culture marketing, if you like that kind of thing. In this long read, we shine a light on some of our favorite projects at @wepresent , exploring the increasingly complex relationships between creatives, culture, and brands.

To our community of creatives, you’re the reason we created @wepresent . And no this isn’t about sponsorship logos on festival stages or hollow virtue signalling.

In this report, “Brands and Culture: Why Now”, we’re joined by experts at @attachmentldn , @studiochapel__ , @culturelab to explore why more and more brands are joining us in investing in culture.
