POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We’re proud to announce that @UnsinkableStories is a proud sponsor of select episodes of The Good Quest with Farabi!

Unsinkable is a national Canadian storytelling charity founded by four-time Olympian and author Silken Laumann [@silkenlaumann]. Built on the belief that sharing our stories can help us better understand ourselves and one another, Unsinkable creates thoughtful, supported experiences that empower people to explore and share their lived experiences with agency and care.

With more than 500 storytellers sharing experiences spanning identity, belonging, family, grief, personal transformation, struggle, and joy, Unsinkable is building a living library of the human experience. Through storytelling initiatives, live experiences, and partnerships, the organization brings these stories into communities to foster connection, empathy, and belonging.

These values are at the heart of The Good Quest.

Created by @WeAreCloudzilla, The Good Quest is an original interview podcast built around meaningful conversations with people from different walks of life. From personal challenges and defining moments to identity, resilience, and growth, each episode offers a deeper look at the stories behind the people we see and the experiences that shape who we become.

At its core, both Unsinkable and The Good Quest share a belief in the power of storytelling to bring people closer together, create understanding, and remind us that there is more connecting us than we may realize.

Having @UnsinkableStories support select episodes marks an exciting milestone for @WeAreCloudzilla and the continued growth of The Good Quest. We’re incredibly grateful to be working alongside an organization whose mission aligns so closely with the conversations we want to bring to the world.

And this is just the beginning. 👀

Stay tuned for another exciting announcement with Unsinkable coming soon!

Here’s to the stories that connect us, the conversations that stay with us, and the power of sharing our experiences. 🤍

A Special thanks to @hailey.hechtman and @afreina for all the incredible work you're doing!

@_FatihAmin opens up about dealing with pessimism from his peers, the doubts that can come from people around you, and why staying grounded in your purpose matters.

Not everyone will understand what you’re trying to build. Not everyone will believe in it from the beginning. And that’s okay.

What matters is knowing why you started, surrounding yourself with people who support your growth, and continuing to move forward even when the room isn’t convinced yet.

What does it mean to navigate who you are while finding your place in a world that needs change?

In this episode of The Good Quest, @FarabiKhaleque sits down with @_FatihAmin, a climate activist and environmental leader from Québec, Canada, for a meaningful conversation about identity, purpose, youth leadership, climate action, and creating impact.

Fatih’s journey into environmental advocacy began through youth-focused initiatives and community engagement. He participated in the YMCA’s C-Vert urban ecology program, becoming involved in projects focused on sustainability, environmental awareness, and youth participation.

In May 2023, Fatih has served on the Board of Directors of ENvironnement JEUnesse (ENJEU) [@enjeuquebec] a major Québec environmental organization dedicated to empowering young people and advancing climate and sustainability initiatives.

He also co-founded the Intercollegiate Eco-Expo, [@intercollegiate_ecoexpo] bringing together environmental clubs and students from colleges across Québec to create connections, share ideas, and encourage collective action around environmental issues.

But beyond the organizations, events, and initiatives is a personal journey of navigating identity, adapting to change, finding purpose, and understanding how personal experiences can shape the causes that matter most.

The conversation explores what it means to be a young person trying to create change, the importance of giving youth a seat at the table, building communities around shared values, and turning concern into action.

Navigating Identity and Impact is a conversation about more than climate. It’s about finding a sense of purpose, understanding what drives you, and using your voice to contribute to something bigger than yourself.

Fatih has experienced a loss that deeply impacted him and became an important part of why he chose to dedicate himself to climate action and societal change. It gave his work a sense of purpose that goes beyond simply advocating for change.

On the upcoming episode of The Good Quest, Fatih talks about his journey, moving to Québec, finding his place, his work as a climate activist and politcs, and the personal experiences that shaped the person he is today.

What happens when you leave everything you know behind, arrive in Québec, and have to find your place in a new environment, while learning a new language along the way?

For @_FatihAmin, that journey became part of what shaped his purpose.

A young climate activist and environmental leader from Québec, Fatih has dedicated himself to sustainability, youth engagement, and climate action. But behind the advocacy is a story of transition, loss, adaptation, and finding meaning in experiences that could have easily left him feeling powerless.

In this upcoming episode of The Good Quest, Fatih opens up about coming to Québec, learning a new language, discovering his voice, and the experiences that ultimately pushed him toward climate and societal change.

His story is a reminder that purpose doesn't always arrive all at once. Sometimes, it grows from the challenges we face, the things we lose, and the decision to turn those experiences into something meaningful.

What do people misunderstand most about grief?

Emily Otteni [@emilyyyyyem] shares a perspective that challenges the idea that grief is something you simply “move on” from.

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline. It changes, it resurfaces, and it becomes part of the way we carry the people and experiences we’ve lost.

Grief is something that many people say gets easier with time. But does it ever truly leave us?

Emily Otteni [@emilyyyyyem] shares a beautiful analogy that helps explain what grief can feel like. Imagine a room with a button on the wall and a bouncing ball. When loss first happens, the ball is enormous, constantly hitting the button and bringing back the pain as if it were the very first day. Over time, the ball gets smaller, but the button never disappears.

Because at the end of the day, grief exists because love was there.

“Every time you hit that button, it’s love.”
