Our usual courses aside, the past few weeks have seen the Wildlife Forensic Academy buzzing with visitors. 🎓 55 CPUT Nature Conservation students joined us as part of their three-day camp, with a full day at WFA focused on wildlife crime scene processing, evidence preservation and preparing evidence for court. The training formed part of their compliance module and gave students the opportunity to take conservation theory into a practical forensic setting. 🔎 75 Grade 11 learners from Curro Durbanville also spent a half day at the Academy for a crash-course introduction to the world of wildlife forensics. Their programme included knots and survival skills, crime scene management and processing, finger-mark analysis, forensic entomology and veterinary forensics. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce the next generation to the science behind conservation - and to the diverse career pathways that exist within the field. 🌍 And finally, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mr and Mrs Bent Hadler, who visited WFA for a facility tour while passing through Cape Town for the SKÅL conference. We love showing visitors what makes WFA unique: a specialist forensic training facility situated within a working game reserve, where conservation, science, education and real-world application come together. And a visit to WFA doesn't have to be all about training. We also welcome tourists, corporate groups and private visitors looking for meaningful experiences - from team-building and corporate retreats to educational excursions and behind-the-scenes conservation experiences. Because sometimes the most memorable part of a journey is learning how you can contribute to something bigger 🌿 📍 Wildlife Forensic Academy | Buffelsfontein Game & Nature Reserve, South Africa #forensic #education #wildlifeconservation #tourisme
