Welcome to a random 𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐲 side quest. This episode I guess you can call an ice cream crawl as I appear to have undertaken an investigation to discover the best ice cream in Southport haha. So, let’s begin!

📍@koreankitchensouthport 🇰🇷🍧| a Friday morning scrolling on ig to discover there was bingsu in Southport obviously meant dragging @neeesyy as soon as we finished work to investigate. The Mango and Blueberry Cheesecake were both refreshing, making for a perfect summery dessert. But, it was pricy at £9 each for what was essentially a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of shaved ice with condensed milk and chunks of frozen fruit.

📍@rossisicecreamsouthport 🍦🍒| Hands down the best option on Nevill Street. I visit when I’m feeling down and need a Mr Whippy with Sherbet at £2 to cheer me up. The lady has seen me more times than I’d like to admit haha. The in house ice cream (I’ve tried Raspberry Ripple, Amaretto Cherry, Kinder Bueno, Black Velvet, Salted Caramel and Honeycomb Vanilla) are creamy and flavourful plus the wafers are crunchy!

📍@weareflavours 🏪🍨| £1.50 for a swirl of Mr Whippy with little ice crystals and a stale wafer was not the best.

📍Antonio’s 🇦🇪🍫| I wasn’t impressed by the £4.50 scoop of Dubai Chocolate. The chocolate flavour was intense but not in a good way as it overpowered the pistachio and there was yet another stale wafer.

📍Southport Rock Shop 🪨🍯| I didn’t actually try the in house ice cream but Kelly’s Honeycomb Caramel Swirl at £3.50 hit the spot (though you can get a big tub from Tesco for that price).

@trivisoicecream 🚐🍦| Saved the best for last. This was covered previously but Mr Whippy from here is delicious. It’s slightly pricy at £7 for a tray but can easily feed 3 people and is best enjoyed taken across the road, sat at the seafront.

Overall, did my stomach hurt from all the ice cream I may have consumed back to back? Yes. But was it worth it? Absolutely. I mean it’s all in the name of science right?

Anyway, that’s the scoop! 😉

Great day out in Southport with @littleedithxzenn discovering new places and revisiting old faves on a chippy crawl 🤣
Lovely vintage tea room @walkersonwesleystreet that we'd never seen before, also @weareflavours for the amazing Dubai Chocolate ice cream, old faves the Dolphin for lunch and to see our mates in the Diva for potent coffee and the excuse to practice my Turkish, not forgetting a quick stop at @silcocksfunland hall of mirrors🤣
Always cheers me up going to Southport and New Brighton, a little bit of holiday atmosphere at home 🥰
