Ever wondered why Urban/LA Choreography has grown into the cultural (TikTok) phenomenon it is today? While choreography works differently according to specific genres, creative capacity runs parallel across all choreographers. Adam Tan is a dancer, choreographer and instructor based in Brooklyn, USA. Beginning his journey as a pole dancer in Malaysia, he has evolved into an internationally touring performer dancing alongside the likes of Shaun Evaristo, Bam Martin and Aye Hasegawa. For this week's inspirational quote, how about some visualizing? One of the biggest draws of Urban/La Choreography lies in its emphasis on musical and wordplay interpretation. Just like ballet for the dance theatre world, this particular genre is very much music physicalized to a tee! 😉

Any thoughts? Feel free to share in the comments 👇 Don't forget to also send in your reviews and awesome feedback if you think we deserve it 😀🙏

A little moment after class.
The way I move and dance is a reflection of dancers that have moved me.

From the places I’ve lived in, Malaysia, Melbourne, Knoxville and Philadelphia, the people and communities I’ve been apart of have influenced who I am as a dancer today. 🙏 🎼: Leon Bridges - Bad Bad News
