To say I’m proud of these two, would be a total understatement! They will no doubt be an extra light in the medical world that we desperately need. I’ve “joked” about it since this summer but I mean it more than people may believe… I’ve come to depend on them so much this year! Watching them grow and become more and more confident in the simplest task has been so rewarding to watch. @anna_collins1 as sad as I am about you leaving us, @bcmhouston doesn’t know how lucky they are! I cannot wait to watch God do even more amazing things in your journey to becoming a PA! anndddd my Maddie…. @maddie.lodge8, I’m just so glad you’ll be hanging around a little longer on your journey to becoming an amazing nurse at #olemissnursing ! Congratulations on your graduation ☺️🎉 #webbfamilymedicalclinic @webbmedandspa #oxfordms #deltalovecollegesenior #deltaloveseniorexperience #classof2025 #olemissclassof2025 #BeBraveBeYOU

I hate post like this butttt I owe it to myself… so here we go…

March 2023, I was officially at an all time low. Since 2018, there wasn’t a day I that went by that I didn’t do some form of a workout. Everyday, I have been religious about working out. It started out as a way to lose weight but overtime, it became my sanity. However, 8 + years working on night shift, you pick up some pretty terrible eating habits. On days when I was suppose to be living in the day time, I wouldn’t get hungry until late and I would wake up at 3-4 in the morning starving… and because who eats healthy at 3-4 AM? I grabbed what was easiest… ice cream, Reese’s… whatever had the most sugar. Needless to say, the workouts always happened. BUT… the eating habits finally caught up to me. I didn’t have to weigh myself to know I’d broken 200. I knew by the way my scrubs fit and by the way I felt in general. But when I finally talked to Dr. Webb about getting started on an injectable… I had no choice, it was me + the scale. The scale read…. 215. I wasn’t shocked… but… I was. Ha, I hate the scale still. This journey has been a long one but one I’m so proud of. I’m finally in the “BMI normal club.” And yess… I used the injectables. Here’s what I did, I went several weeks in between without it… to make sure I could keep it off. I cut bad habits… not all because, let’s face it… I will go to my death bed eating ice cream. I lost about a pound a week. And I kept with it. I stopped weighing myself obsessively because honestly, I could care two cents what that scale reads. I just know how I feel today is worth every second and cent I have put towards my health 🩷
