𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 – Bathroom Surfaces by @bascombdrew

Stone, tile and timber each bring different qualities to a bathroom, shaping how a space feels and performs over time.

Across a range of projects, material selection begins early in the design process, considering scale, texture, durability and how individual surfaces relate to natural light, joinery and architectural detail. The decisions are often subtle, but they play an important role in creating spaces that feel coherent and long-lasting.

This series looks more closely at those details, exploring the materials, finishes and craftsmanship behind the completed rooms. (see below)

Last Wednesday, we had the pleasure of hosting clients and friends at @hollandandholland1835 for a clay pigeon shoot.

It was fantastic to catch up with long standing clients and meet new faces. We hope to keep building bridges, or staircases. 😉

What a great way to mark 20 years of Smet staircases and to celebrate the people who have supported us along the way. 🍾

A second evening at The Townhouse.
On Thursday, we opened the doors once again to celebrate The Townhouse by Randle Siddeley and the launch of Siddeley Ceramics.

It was wonderful to see the rooms filled with guests and to share the newly reimagined spaces and collection in person.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for another very special evening.

𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗧𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 | The Master Bedroom cabinetry by @seamersspecialistjoinery brings a quiet level of detail to the room, with full-height panels, integrated handles and carefully finished joinery sitting within the wider interior scheme achieved by @tollgardstudio

The scale of the cabinetry makes a practical feature of the room, while the restrained detailing allows the craftsmanship to sit comfortably alongside the surrounding finishes.

𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 | Tollgard Studio x Bascomb & Drew

Within this 1850s villa, modern comfort has been integrated without competing with the original architecture.

Comfort cooling and underfloor heating were coordinated throughout the house, with the systems working quietly in the background. In the Master Bathroom, the focus shifts to the details: a bespoke vanity, distinctive basins and carefully selected brassware, to create a calm ambience.

A project where technical coordination and material decisions sit closely together. Featuring Iris Ceramic tiles by @domustiles

SOHO FARMHOUSE

Last week we hosted @sam.thornton_property and @mcnevinpropertymanagement @websterhartltd at Soho Farmhouse for a day of padel, followed by lunch in the sunshine and a good catch up.

We always love spending time here, it’s a great hub for bringing people together and building genuine relationships with other industry professionals. Sharing ideas with one another and finding ways to collaborate is such an important part of what we do.

A great day spent, and of course enjoying friendly competition on the court! 🎾

Two days sailing around the Isle of Wight, with steady wind, sunny skies and a fantastic crew.

We covered some serious water, trimmed plenty of sails, soaked up the views and, for a few, the trip wasn’t complete without a dip in the Solent.

Thanks to everyone who joined us and made it such a memorable couple of days, on and off the water. Already looking forward to next year. 🌊

𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 - @gardentrellisco

External design project delivered in collaboration with the Garden Trellis Co as part of a wider residential refurbishment project.

To the front garden, a contemporary slatted bike and double bin store was integrated within the landscaping scheme, balancing durability and function with the softer character of the planting.
Across the rear garden boundaries, square trellis panels were installed to provide structure, screening and support for future planting.

A well-resolved piece of joinery and landscape coordination, delivered through close collaboration between us, our suppliers and design team.
