We had the pleasure of hosting our first Executive Leader Training session of the year! Our student-athlete leaders consistently show up for their peers and organizations, so it’s only right that we show up for them too. Super grateful for their commitment and even more excited to continue investing in the leaders they are becoming 👍

The executive boards of WE3, Traditions Night, B.L.U.E.print, and SAAC came together for a night of leadership growth! They explored their personal DISC assessments, shared conversation about building strong habits, and sharpened skills that will carry over into leading their organizations this year.

We are partnering with the other student-athlete organizations to host an Angel Tree program this holiday season, located on the first level of the Sinn Academic Center! From 11/20 - 12/3 we are accepting donations for The Salvation Army, aiming to provide gifts and necessities to children and families in need.

Scan the QR codes located on the back of the maroon ornaments hanging on the tree in order to submit your donations. Each item donated will grant you 10 minutes of community service and be sure to log it on Teamworks! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions🎄👍

I can not even begin to express the phenomenal experience we had at the Women Leaders in Sports Convention! I had a blast listening to all the wonderful guest speakers and developing closer relationships with other strong female leaders in the sports workforce. From the NCAA, SEC, NFL, NBA, WNBA, women leaders have excelled above and beyond in their passions for sport. I can’t thank Texas A&M enough for this incredible opportunity for me and my fellow Aggies to attend! Thank you!!

Some key takeaways:
1. Be intentional in everything you do.
2. Be your authentic self everyday.
3. Carla Harris 8 pearls: be authentic, build trust, create clarity, create other leaders, diversify, innovate, be inclusive, and use your voice
4. Communicate and Network: who’s coming with me?
5 Find your Northstar: be limitless.
6. “Not everyone deserves 100% of you.”
7. Don’t forget where you came from.
8. What is your WHY?
9. Pay it forward.
10. Make room for change and failures.
11. Leadership is authenticity and intentionality.
12. Lead from where you are.
13. Perception is reality.
14. Listen to your elders and youngers.
15. Humility is not thinking less of yourself.
16. Accelerate in place: know your role.
17. Managing Up: work hard/smart, work together, be willing to adapt.
18. Keep your resources with YOU not behind you.
19. Have positive intent. Listen! Then speak.
20. Slay the day everyday!

We have some of the best student-athlete leaders around! 🤩

This week, our SAAC, B.L.U.E print, and WE3 student leaders met for Executive Leadership Training. They participated in several leadership training exercises, got to hear from different senior administrators, and even got to take a trip to Kyle Field! We are so excited for this year's leaders and cannot wait to see how they exemplify the Aggie core values!
