Last night was a truly unforgettable celebration marking 75 years of @lyricbelfast and 60 years of @ulsterorchestra with the spectacular “We Do It For Love” concert. 🎶 While the brand-new orchestrations by the acclaimed Conor Mitchell were breathtaking, the real magic of the night belonged to the 7 sensational singers. 🎙️✨ Each performer brought the house down, delivering powerhouse, deeply moving, and utterly wonderful vocal performances that breathed vibrant new life into these Broadway and West End classics. Well done: @winnie_ama_ @weebarry1 @maevebyrne0211 @cherrieontopbelfast @adamdougal84 @colettelennondougal @raymondwa1sh Each song was beautifully backed by a magnificent smaller 25-piece @ulsterorchestra and the incredible @agneschoral 👌 #lyrictheatre #lyric75 #ulsterorchestra60 #wedoitforlove #theadventuresofpatrickandmartin

🙌 What a very special night celebrating the @ulsterorchestra 60th and @lyricbelfast 75th anniversaries! 🎶 When Claire Murray and I met last year to chat about ways we could collaborate, we’d no idea what exactly that would look like, but what an amazing end result. Such a beautifully presented concert led by the super talented Conor Mitchell, featuring songs from musicals staged at the Lyric since the 1950s and performed wonderfully by 25 of our Orchestra musicians, 7 outstanding singers/friends - Rosie Barry, Colette Dougal, Adam Dougal, Maeve Byrne, Raymond Walsh, Matthew Cavan and Winnie Ama, and members of St Agnes’ Choral Society. I had the honour of performing in the Lyric’s 1985 production of ‘Annie’ with Stella McCusker as Miss Hannigan and still have the plaque they gave us 🥰 Congratulations to everyone from both organisations and particularly the Lyric for pulling it all together. A truly fab evening and it was also lovely catching up with so many friends. Do please try to get to one of today’s performances if you can as you’ll just love every moment xx

Very enjoyable double-celebration for @lyricbelfast's 75th and @ulsterorchestra's 60th; seven fabulous voices and @agneschoral fronted by Conor Mitchell. A wide-ranging survey of musical theatre from the Lyric's past and present with @matthewcavan sublime in Cabaret's 'Maybe This Time', @colettelennondougal outdoing Julie Andrews in 'Do-Re-Mi', and @winnie_ama_ @weebarry1 @maevebyrne0211 @adamdougal84 and @raymondwa1sh all shining in their numbers. We’re delighted to see Rosie Barry and Colette Lennon Dougal taking to the Lyric stage this weekend as part of the Gala Concert ‘We Do It For Love.’ This special fundraising concert celebrates the Lyric Theatre’s 75th Anniversary, presented in collaboration with the Ulster Orchestra, and forms part of the theatre’s anniversary campaign supporting the future of its work and artistic programme. A landmark celebration of 75 years of theatre in Belfast, and we’re incredibly proud to have two Shelley Lowry Talent clients joining the company for such a special occasion. Wishing Rosie, Colette and everyone involved a wonderful weekend. @weebarry1 @colettelennondougal @lyricbelfast #actors #musictheatre #actor #northernireland #ireland

Huge congratulations to Shelley Lowry Talent clients Steven Cooke, Kasper Andreasen, James Doran, Bernadette Brown, Rosie Barry, Brian Devlin, Micky Bartlett and Brian Markey who join the cast of the feature film Bender, a coming-of-age comedy set in late 1970s Dublin, directed by Adam Bernstein and starring Bill Burr and Chris O’Dowd. Bender is being compared as a mix between Superbad and Derry Girls in the casting update from Deadline, and is based on the post-punk Dublin experiences of Adrian Cunningham, who also penned the script. The story also includes events leading up to a visit by Pope John Paul II, which took place in 1979. @_stevencooke @micky_bartlett @devlin1249 @weebarry1 @bernadettebrownactor @kandreasen2404 #actor @chrisodowd #northernireland #casting #belfast
