Africa knows how to celebrate a union! Uganda for Judith’s Kuhingira and Rwanda for the Wedding, with memorable adventures in-between and loads of new friends. What a time and too many photos and videos which could never do it justice really.

The dancing and singing, the colours, the communities coming out in droves, being part of the procession, smiling at the young children and nodding to the ladies happy to see us in traditional dress, the gospel choir, @daudi , the Afro beats interspersed with UK bangers. 💃 Incredible.

Congratulations @yudesi and @davidd__sh ❤️ I hope all the aunties enjoyed their pics with a Scotsman 😂

As Daudi said, Big Ups, Nice one.

Kigali, Rwanda. What a place. The home town of our incredible friend @davidd__sh who we are here to celebrate getting married to lovely Judith @yudesi . I’m obsessed with the colours. I’ve had 3 proposals from boda boda drivers 😂 Being on the back of a motorbike whilst someone takes a selfie video with you is quite something (sorry mum). Eyes on the road my friend.

Everyone has been very welcoming to us Muzungu (white people). Joe giving directions in his Scottish accent has been interesting and always ends in lots of smiles. We feel incredibly privileged to be introduced to local friends who we watched the World Cup with (the African ladies giving me a knowing glance when we lost, Joe and Dave cheering louder than anyone of course being Scottish 😂). They showed us their art, shared their stories about growing up here and told me about how women were told they’d grow a beard if they ate goat so the men could have more. Classic.

Being someone who is phenomenally bad at not buying something from every persons stall (bless you grandma), Kimironko market where we were immediately surrounded by people was like exposure therapy 😳 - a baptism of fire. Thankfully David and his brother were close by and able to come and help us but Eric (who wanted me to take his picture in front of his fruit) was brilliant at guiding us through the crowds of people wanting us to “remember their name”. What’s funny is behind me taking that one picture in the market is utter carnage of people wanting our attention. I’ve never experienced anything like it.

We have of course visited the genocide memorial museum which was harrowing but important to visit. We learnt a lot, cried and paid our respects at the mass graves.

@niyoartscenter was an incredibly peaceful spot after that to witness local artist’s painting. They have a website and ship if you’d be interested in commissioning something. Our budget didn’t quite stretch that far but one day.

The journey continues and this being no normal “holiday” il be sharing more, it’s been a wild ride.

Another Christmas film, but the one that started the journey in Scotland. There's less set photos but the images of absolutely beautiful locations and beautiful cast & crew that were involved in this project. Never thought I'd work on a Christmas film let alone 2, but it was a joy to be part of something like this bringing that Christmas cheer and learning so much, behind the camera and the process too as well as being in front of it.

Love to everyone involved in this project and those not involved that kept me going too it's all love and definitely won't be forgotten. Shout out to @bbbtalentagency for putting me on this! And a special one to @floxzeehairsalon for sorting out my hair for this project kept me looking fresh appreciate it 💙

Merry Switchmas 🎄🤶🏼 🎅🏼 ♥️

Shout out to @vanessahudgens for not only taking on 3 roles in one film (which I don’t think people truly understand the talent & time that that takes!) but she also produced it and even managed to put up with working with me for a day 😬 I bet she didn’t except to have to deal with a Scottish Stacey!!
I definitely didn’t haha

As someone who was very grateful to be hired as a dancer for the film (especially during lockdown) I had no idea what was coming my way when I was unexpectedly asked to come back and join the crew for the rest of the run.
I went from dancer to stand-in to helping AD’s & PA’s to chaperoning children to hand doubling to actually body doubling the lead. (10 points if you can find me or my hands) 😝😂🎬🎥
I just want to take a second to thank everyone who made me feel so welcome from day one as it was the most amazing experience and I learnt so much from you all. Even if we were stood outside in -10° at some points ❄️
From the big guys at the top, camera men/woman, hair & make up, to the ADs, PAs, art department, gaffers, grips, Visual effects, choreographers, costume, sound and CRAFT 🙌🏻 There’s definitely a lot more people that I’ve probably forgot to mention but I have HUGE respect to everyone on and off set!
And of course, a huge thanks to my little BBB crew who kept me right since I was absolutely clueless walking into this job x
Director 🎬 - @mike_rohl_604 D.O.P 🎥 - @fernandoarguellesasc (absolute legend who put up with all my cheek 😝)
Choreography 💃🏽 - The loveliest ladies @carolinepopechoreographer @aliceamybaker

♥️ Thanks to @bbbtalentagency for getting me the gig x. #Grateful #theprincessswitch3
