Meet @jemilaw13 Jemila Weeks, Olympia High School · Class of 2028 · 1B/P, and the newest member of the founding softball class of R2Cares Emerging Leaders.

That’s what Emerging Leaders is about. Know the athlete. Know the human.

And this one’s personal. On November 20 at the Beyond the Jersey Legacy Gala, Jemila will be presented her Emerging Leaders Jersey by her dad, former MLB player and coach Jemile Weeks. 5,000+ families served. Zero cost to participate. And we’re just getting started.

This is Loyal To My Soil.

Since 2020, we’ve been on a mission to break down barriers, create opportunities, and build stronger communities through sport.

Free youth camps. Equipment donations. Coaches clinics. Educational workshops. Mental skills training.

We bring the resources, experience, and people together to give the next generation access to opportunities that shouldn’t be hidden behind a paywall.

We’ve come a long way since our first camp. What started as an idea has grown into a movement powered by athletes, coaches, volunteers, partners, and communities who believe in giving back.

And the best part? We’re only scratching the surface.

We’ve got big things in the works, new communities to reach, and exciting opportunities on the horizon.

Same roots. Bigger reach. Greater impact. 🌱

Parents and athletes going through the recruiting process, ask yourself two questions:

Does your trainer have genuine relationships with coaches at the next level?

And more importantly, do those coaches TRUST what your trainer says about you?

Anybody can send a text, make a call, or tag a coach.

But relationships open doors. Credibility gives your name weight.

And once that door opens, your work has to speak for itself. 💯⚾

YOU’VE BEEN SELECTED.

Welcome Kamryn Scobey to the founding softball class of R2Cares Emerging Leaders. 🥎 @kamryn.scobey

Class of 2029 at McKeel Academy, varsity softball and basketball, Lady Bombers travel ball, 2026 First Team All-County, and a big part of McKeel’s run to the 2026 State Tournament. All with a 3.6 GPA.

But that’s not why she was chosen.

Kamryn came to our panel and camp last year, and she gets what this is about:

“I loved the focus on mental health as it makes and breaks athletes and people. This is great for our community and can’t wait to attend again this November.”

Student. Athlete. Faith. Character.

On November 20 at the Beyond the Jersey Legacy Gala, Kamryn will receive her Emerging Leaders Jersey from @wefamunited founder @realjemileweeks Weeks. The next morning, she’ll wear it to help lead our Emerging Leaders Camp and serve at the community turkey drive.

Honor. Highlight. Mentor. Invest.

Sports is the vessel, not the destination.

Want your athlete learning from Emerging Leaders like Kamryn? 🥎

Introducing our FIRST R2Cares Emerging Leader: Bella Rodriguez 🥎 @bella_rodriguezz_4s

Bella is a great athlete, and she’s going to go off and do great things. But that’s not the only reason she was selected.

We’ve watched Bella grow through the years. What stands out most is how she pours into others: her teammates, the younger players coming up behind her, and everyone around her. That is what an Emerging Leader looks like.

Bella is the first selection of our Emerging Leaders girls class, presented by Jemile Weeks. She will be officially recognized and presented with her Emerging Leaders jersey at the Beyond the Jersey Legacy Gala on Friday, November 20.

Want to learn from Bella? The next morning she’ll be on the field at our Emerging Leaders Baseball & Softball Camp, helping lead and encourage the next generation.

THE FIRST CLASS IS HERE. 🥎🔥

Not the best player. The best example.

This year, we’re recognizing our founding Emerging Leaders Softball Class—young women who lead, serve, support their teammates and understand that who they are matters beyond the game.

And this is only the beginning.

Our plan is to expand the Emerging Leaders Game in 2027, creating more opportunities for young women to compete, connect with mentors, serve their community and be recognized for the leaders they are becoming.

Same game. Bigger purpose.

Sports is the vessel, but it’s not the destination.

The game can open doors, create opportunities, and give us a platform—but people are the purpose.

Use what you’ve learned to pour into someone else. Make people feel seen, valued, and heard. Help the next generation go further than you did.

I love the game. But the purpose has always been bigger than the uniform.

Sports is the vessel. People are the purpose. Legacy is the destination.

Just a kid from Polk. 💙
