POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Remembering, as always, the extraordinary Chip Hooper on his birthday today.

We’ve collected a few messages from friends and colleagues, reflecting on their time with Chip, his impact on their lives, and the indelible mark he left on the music business.

If you loved Chip too, or are moved to give in his memory, visit the Chip Hooper Foundation to donate, or contribute to the Chip Hooper Scholarship at Columbia College Chicago. Both links are in our bio.

We are excited to open our new @WassermanMusic office in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California! Our music team's connection to the Monterey Bay area stretches back to the founding of Monterey Peninsula Artists in 1975, and we're thrilled to unveil our beautiful new home there to continue that lineage.

The new Monterey office will be home to #WassMusic SVP Dan Weiner, VP Lynn Cingari, VP of College Taylor Schultz and coordinator Dave Jackson.

Thursday. Had a meeting yesterday with some clients and was asked “who is the kindest artist you’ve ever worked with”… there have been so many I couldn’t name one off the cuff. 4:38am this morning the answer came to me like a freight train… @lyle_lovett . An easy decade of working with Lyle, he personifies the word “gentleman”. Of the hundreds of amazing songs I could have chosen to play this, I chose this song from the 1987 @curbrecords release “Pontiac” because we’ll all have it stuck in our heads and have a dang happy silent sing-along all day. You’re welcome. Gitty Up with a smile!

And thus we’ve reached the end of our journey. Thank you to our ride, wash just me married, who took us miles a far and endured some heinous tuna fish farts. The tent, unnamed, has seen parts of us nobody has. I would like to say that there truly nothing more powerful than some pals and an appetite for adventure.

This one I can confirm is the Dead😎. Given to me as payment for helping out in the poster/head shop under John Menzies record shop. I of course devalued it by trimming all the edges off when I was 13 to make it look “better” 🙄 Number 35 of #ephemeraFromMyYouth ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________#gratfuldead #gratefuldead #thedead #mouseandkelley #psychedelicEphemera #thegratefuldead

I was given this poster when I was 12 & thought it was the Dead. I now know it’s Link Wray (white shirt & glasses) & friends outside his studio. Thanks @theheavyjamz ! Number 34 of #ephemeraFromMyYouth __________________________________________________________________
