Best Advertising – @animayofestival Gran Canaria 2026

"OVO – Power Struggle", directed by @welcometorealite for @ovoenergy and developed together with @canadacanadacom & @saatchiuk, has been awarded Best Advertising at Animayo Gran Canaria 2026.

With an ingenious visual concept, the campaign turns everyday household appliances into the stars of a playful rebellion, using humour to reflect the challenges of everyday energy consumption.

Rather than relying primarily on CGI, the piece showcases an outstanding combination of practical effects, puppetry and visual effects to create a cinematic experience that demonstrates how advertising can entertain, surprise and communicate in unforgettable ways.

Congratulations to @welcometorealite, @ovoenergy, @saatchiuk and the entire creative team on this well-deserved recognition!

Thanks to @cabildodegrancanaria – La Isla de Mi Vida; @aytolpgc – Candidate City for European Capital of Culture 2031 (City Promotion); the Culture Department of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council (@lpacultura); @gobcanarias (@icdcultural, @turismodeislascanarias and @proexca); @visitgrancanaria; Fundación La Caja de Canarias and @teatrocicca; @filmotecacanaria; @teatroguiniguada.gc; @grancanariafilm; as well as production companies, studios, schools, universities and private companies, for continuing to promote culture, education and the audiovisual industry on the island.
