I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to get outside of my comfort zone and give a TED-style talk on how self-care makes better leaders at yesterday's AIM Women’s Leadership Conference by @acg_minnesota ⠀ I shared my story as a recovering CPA turned holistic health coach and the self-care tips and strategies that I've developed since leaving the corporate world. ⠀ ⠀ I was so inspired by all of the amazing speakers who shared their own personal stories, getting vulnerable and providing actionable tips and strategies that we can all implement immediately into our lives. What a GREAT day learning and connecting with amazing women business leaders across the Twin Cities. ⠀ ⠀ Huge thanks to @nickiv630 and the amazing @acg_minnesota team for inviting me to be part of this event and believing in me when I doubted my own abilities. ⠀What’s one thing you can do that scares you a bit to help push you beyond your comfort zone? Drop me a note as we can all use the encouragement and accountability 👇🏻😊⠀ ⠀ #selfcarematters #leadershipdevelopment #holistichealthcoach #womenleaders #ACGMNAIM2020 #getoutsideyourcomfortzone #vulnerabilityisstrength #accountabilitycoach #womensupportingwomen

Are you new to #tuesdaystogether? Here’s our story: In May of 2015, Rising Tide hosted its first set of local meetups in twelve cities across the United States. Coffee shops and wineries filled with small business owners seeking a new mindset in the creative landscape—one built on relationships. Creatives who typically spent day after day sitting at their desks with only the hum of the computer and their third cup of coffee to keep them company now had the opportunity to engage in community within their own towns. One by one meetups were added in cities from the Northeast to the Southwest, and even internationally. We believe that when creatives rise, the world is changed for the better. Together, we are empowering the creative economy to pursue their passion with the support of a community. The Twin Cities meetups are only a week away, and we’d love to see you there to celebrate the idea of community over competition in our cities. Will you be there? I know you don't want to hear it but it's true🙊. When it comes to addressing our health, it's often so much easier to go to an intense workout class feeling accomplished for the day 💪🏼 than to peel back the layers of what's causing you to lay awake at night unable to sleep😴. It can even be easier to eat the damn salad but spoiler alert folks, all the kale in the world isn't going to help you lose weight when you're walking around all day in fight or flight mode and your body is in a constant state of stress (which is common for many people)😬.⠀ ...⠀ I've worked with numerous women who have tried every diet and quick fix program over the past decade yet unable to find the solution that makes them feel good in their own skin😍. They work out and eat pretty healthy but the pounds and unwanted belly weight won't come off despite all of their best efforts. I've also been in your shoes👟 for many years and even today I am a work in progress when it comes to managing my stress level. If this sounds like you then I am here to help. ⠀ ...⠀ Tip➡️Use the power of your breathe to get you out of this frantic state and activate your parasympathetic nervous system. Take 3-5 deep belly breaths where your belly expands on the inhale and flattens on the exhale. I love Dr Andrew Weils' 4-7-8 breathing technique but you can also simply breathe in for 5 and out for 7✨.⠀ ...⠀ Sometimes all you need is someone who will listen👂🏻because YOU already know what you should be doing. You may know that your job 👩‍🏫 or relationship👫 is causing unwanted stress or that you need to learn how to prioritize your health over the needs of your family and friends (and say NO to social commitments or volunteer opportunities). Lets talk and uncover the root of your health concerns so that you can create a more balanced, happy and peaceful life💆‍♀️.⠀ ...⠀ Click link👉🏻 in profile and sign-up for your FREE 30-minute consult to discuss how to reduce your stress and start living your best life🙌.⠀ ⠀ #stressfree #selflove #loveyourselffirst #selfcare #balancedlife #happylife #breathingexercise #healthtips #managingstress #iinhealthcoach #healthyliving #health #quoteoftheday #motivation #prioritiesfirst
