From clay to a custom sparkling water can 🍏

This spindrift can was such a fun project to bring to life with clay.

Every custom piece starts with a conversation.

When someone reaches out, we go over the details together: size, shape, colors, and any references they have in mind. Sometimes it’s a very clear idea, sometimes just a feeling or a photo saved at 2am — both work.

From there, I refine the design so it translates well into clay. Not everything can be made exactly the same in ceramics, so part of the process is adapting the idea while keeping its essence (and making sure it doesn’t crack, warp, or collapse halfway through 🤞).

Then I make the piece on the wheel, let it dry slowly, trim it, refine the details, and fire it for the first time. After that comes glazing, where color really comes to life — and sometimes looks completely different from what I expected, because kilns like to keep things interesting 🔥.

Each step takes time, and small variations are always part of the result. That’s what makes every piece unique (and keeps me humble).

This one was made as a custom order, from start to finish ✨

Stop 2: NYC 📍 Hosted an event with @wearerockwater and saw some of my favorite humans on this side of the country. The amount of times I think “is this real life” within TCS - we genuinely get to spend all of our time with the most creative, kind, hard-working people. 🫶🏻

NYC Meets Texas🤠🐍🚕📱🗽

What a night. Grateful to everyone who showed up, laughed, networked and had a good time. The creator economy continues to blow me away — the talent, innovation, and momentum in this space is unreal. Can’t wait to see what the rest of 2025 brings. Huge thanks to RockWater for co-hosting with us and to Nixon Peabody for sponsoring the night.
