Can take the girl out of accounting but can’t take the accounting out of the girl hahah another month of climbing cringe mountain… but tbh it is getting easier which is a good feeling!

July financial update as a girl reinventing her life at 32….. 6 months ago I walked away from my 10 yr corporate accounting career and $200k knowing this leap was going to cost me before paying me…

I share this information because 1) the money I make is due to you all supporting me so THANK YOU and 2) to inspire others because I truly believe there is so much potential on these platforms to drastically change your life. Sharing this has also been incredible to work though my own insecurities and fears around money.

One of my biggest fears in life is not being able to support myself financially as someone who has always been hyper-independent and because of that, I knew this transition was going to be mentally challenging….and it has broken me down in ways I could never imagine.

While I’m working to build @wellthywell and make that a sustainable community, social media is the main way I’m working to support myself.

But don’t get it twisted…it is a lot of work and a hustle.

Thank you all for the support, truly! I’m excited to continue to take you along for the journey!

2.5 years ago I sold most of my stuff, packed up my life in Dallas, said goodbye to family & friends and drove across the country to start a life in San Diego solo at age 30….

If you would have asked me 6 years ago if I would ever do something like that, the answer would have been a straight up “NO”.

So what changed and made me actually take the leap?

This wildly strong gut and intuitive feeling that I was meant to take the leap. I wasn’t too sure why but I was comfortable not having an answer despite the immense amount of fear.

I’ve had this dream for years to pivot into the wellness space and build a wellness community - one I wish I had years ago when I first started my health journey and something about San Diego told me that is where it needed to start.

My first yr in San Diego was rocky in every sense of the word. I had to turn inwards, find strength in myself, build resilience and often times it felt like all that I had built in my life was coming crashing down, one after another.

But what I now realize is that, every single setback was there to force me to not lose sight of why I’m actually here.

18 months into @wellthywell and I get emotional every single day about where we are headed. I’ve met the most amazing women through hosting events, a retreat and now within our @wellthywell membership.

This is THE community I wish I had years ago when I first started my health journey..a place to feel supported, connected, and less alone.

I created it to make wellness more accessible, inclusive, and real by blending community, education, and resources that help people feel good in everyday life.

Every single person who attends events, impacts my life in a wild way and keeps me moving forward. So thank you all for showing up!

While it is tough and uncomfortable leaving behind a career I worked so hard to build in accounting at age 32, bringing something that lived in my mind to life is truly such a blessing! It is not an easy road ahead but gals I know it is so fulfilling!

we are just getting started 🫶🏻 let’s build this together!!
