There's a difference
between being liked
and being valued.

A lot of people like you.
Not many value you.

Be valued.

Know the difference.
Know your worth.

🇩🇪

Es gibt einen Unterschied
zwischen gemocht werden
und geschätzt werden.

Viele mögen dich.
Nicht viele schätzen dich.

Sei wertgeschätzt.

Kenne den Unterschied.
Kenne Deinen Wert.

What if...

...we can simply be ourselves?
Unvarnished, unadulterated,
free from constraints?

I can tell you:
We bloom.
We shine.

Fears gently fade,
sometimes it takes several attempts,
courage breaks through,
we grow.

And we arrive.
In the here.
In the now.

The right people
by your side
love you for who you are.

They don't belittle you.
They don't want to change you.
They understand you even between the lines.
They gently break through your walls.
And stay.

So be yourself,
dance, laugh, grow.

And watch how it enchants those around you
and attracts the right people.

🇩🇪

Was, wenn...

...wir einfach wir selbst sein dürfen?
Ungeschminkt, unverstellt, frei von Zwang?

Ich kann es euch sagen:
Wir blühen auf.
Wir leuchten.

Ängste schwinden sanft,
manchmal braucht es mehrere Anläufe,
Mut bricht durch,
wir wachsen.

Und wir kommen an.
Im hier.
Im jetzt.

Die richtigen Menschen
an Deiner Seite
lieben Dich für das,
was Du bist.

Sie machen Dich nicht klein.
Sie wollen Dich nicht verändern.
Sie verstehen Dich auch zwischen den Zeilen.
Sie brechen sanft durch Deine Mauern.
Und bleiben.

Also sei Du selbst,
tanze, lache, wachse.
Und sieh zu, wie das Dein Umfeld verzaubert
und die richtigen Menschen anzieht.

This time last week was the final day of the Bike Shed Show, and wow what a day it was going to be.

Let me start by saying that I love going to the Bike Shed Show, it’s a show like no other but in all honesty, I wasn’t feeling 100% before I went. It had been a difficult few weeks with work, health, and family problems, and I had all sorts running through my head, so I decided not to talk to anyone about my passion project, the Insider Watch Challenge, as I don’t want to be forcing it on people, I want it be be fluid and it to be an initiative that touches the soul.

Within minutes of arriving at VIP night, thanks to my friend @patia.dk for the invite, the first unexpected conversation about the Challenge started, and to cut along story short, it continued throughout the weekend. It was amazing seeing so many Instagram friends supporting the initiative by wearing their watch “Flipped” as a symbol that you can turn life’s struggles around.

If you know me, you know that I don’t mind talking to strangers, well on the way in I saw these two guys looking a little lost, and despite their good looks, and without hesitation, I asked if they were heading to the Bike Shed Show, and gave directions and started a little conversation. It wasn’t until I was walking around the show with my friend @deb_bora_ I got a good look at their faces and wondered why there was a crowd around them, yes it was @dannyjonesofficial and @idougahole from McFly. We had another little conversation, and a photo, I’m the good looking one in the middle, I took the opportunity to give them both a card about the Challenge. You never know who you are going to meet, and you never know through these serendipitous moments what it will lead to. My message to you all is ‘It’s Okay to Talk’ about what your going through, it’s okay to talk to “strangers”, it’s even okay to talk to Ewan McGregor, but that another long story.

You really don’t know what people are going through, so be nice, start conversations, reach out to a friend who you haven’t heard from in a while.

What. A. Weekend.

If any of you are even a little bit tempted to book a weekend with @offroadskills in beautiful (sunny, glorious) Wales - take this as the sign you were waiting for to bloody do it now!

Having tried on my GS boots I was shitting myself because they made me forget how to ride a bike… which makes what the instructors achieved over two days all the more incredible. It was an absolute blast from start to finish, expert tuition, amazing loooong (thanks Kate!) trail rides and such a confidence boost - with skills that I’m already using since being home and riding on the road again. I think that massive (sweaty, dusty) grin probably says it all - thank you so much for an awesome couple of days!

Thanks @welsh_gser for keeping an eye on me the whole time and @ja.adv for the loan of the knees and helmet - it helped me stand out in case I ended up in a bush/massive muddy puddle… 💛

Get yerself there - you won’t regret it - and can I come too? 😁

Roll on ladies day in June - it’s going to be flipping brilliant and I cannot wait already! 💙
