Kanye West has voiced the need for Black board seats in corporations 🤝 in particular, Adidas and GAP, shining light on an issue that has plagued corporate America for far too long⌛️   Numbers never lie💡According to the Harvard Business Review, 37% of S&P 500 firms did not have any Black board members in 2019 🚫 In fact, just under one of four new S&P 500 directors (23%) are minorities (defined as African American/Black, Asian and Hispanic/Latino 🚨 Gap's stock was up roughly 20% after Kanye's initial partnership announcement📈 What are your thoughts?

After Juneteenth, we saw shares of the few minority owned public companies skyrocket. 🚀 Since then, the share value of those companies have slid dramatically. 📉 Although sure investors can argue that the fundanentals of other businesses are better, the stock market has a responsibility to allocate capital to the best ideas and where it's best needed to benefit society.💡 As social and economic inequality continues to widen, it is critical to invest in minority owned business🖤 NOT with a short-term profit driven mindset🚫 but with a long-term wealth restoration mindset⏳ that is good for both the business but society as well. 🤝 Link to WSJ article in bio 👉 Stock Tickers for black owned banks 🏦: #CARV #BYFC #WEND #wendfinancial #Minorityowned #stockmarket #investing #BuildingEquityInUs

Owning equity = wealth🔑⁣ ⁣ Minorities drive economic consumption, yet are excluded when it comes to wealth distribution🧐. The only way to change that is by thinking different about equity and economic means. ⁣ ⁣ It all starts with equity! ⁣ #Wend #BuildingEquityInUs #WEND #WENDFINANCIAL #Finance #investing #investing #trading #minorityownedbusiness #minorityowned #minority #minorityinvestors
