My tips for successfully claiming a cruise as a “work trip”. (Please read that with all the sarcasm I intend it to be conveyed with. 😆) Visit a “remote” island, study the wildlife, learn about their culture = Research. 🏝️🦭 Play games In the wind jammer, chat in the bionic bar, attend a Regency tea party = Networking 🃏🍕☕️ Wear bookish shirts, participate in fabulous reels, get ice cream at every available opportunity to chat up the people in line, and have your book cover as your phone case = Marketing 🍦🎥👚 Make sure you have an amazing author roommate, writing buddies (even if they’re just towel animals), and attend the writing sprints class on board the ship = Writing ✍🏻📝👩🏼‍💻 In all seriousness, I cherish the friends I made and the moments of writing I had. I actually got a ton of writing done! I’m so excited about this next story, and can’t wait to share more with you. A huge thank you to @liz_and_luggage , @the_reader_ship @properromanceseries and all the authors who came @sarah_m_eden @authorestherhatch @sian_bessey @traciabramson @writerjulianne
