I haven’t been back to Chengdu in 8 years, and so much has changed. We went to this imperial banquet for my dad’s birthday, and my daughter wanted me, my mom and my dad all dressed up for it. My husband and the kids? They didn’t want to join the imperial family. They just came for dinner. #cookingbomb #chinesefood #chengdu #sichuan

China food diary EP3: sweet flower pastry and spicy beef, The flower on this dessert represents the hibiscus, Chengdu’s city flower. In Chinese culture, picking the flower by hand symbolizes “holding prosperity in your hands.” And yes, you can eat it! Each flower is a sweet, flaky pastry with delicate layers, almost like a layered mooncake. We also tried 藿香鱼 huoxiang fish, 咸肉煲野笋 cured pork with wild bamboo shoots, 辣子鸡 crispy chili chicken, and 野菌捞饭 wild mushroom rice. 📍Restaurant 餐厅 五岳宫（文殊院店） Wuyuegong — Wenshu Monastery Branch Address 地址 成都市青羊区文殊院景区五岳宫街28号 No. 28 Wuyuegong Street, Wenshu Monastery Scenic Area, Qingyang District, Chengdu #cookingbomb #chinesefood #chengdu

Hello hello! I know it has been a little quiet here, but I am currently back in my home town Chengdu, China. first time in 8 years 😭 and it has been non-stop! I finally reunited with my parents, and we have been eating SO much amazing food and reconnecting with relatives and old friends. I am so incredibly busy, but I wanted to drop in and give you an update! We are having the best time. My husband is loving the spicy food and night walks, my daughter is already practicing her mahjong skills with the locals 🐼, and my parents are doing great! I also want to let you know that I am currently filming a China Food Series, We are going deep into street food, ancient fermentation factories, Pi Xian Dou Ban original factory from 1863 and the real traditional food I grew up with. Because I am still filming all day, I will be posting some fun Shorts from the trip first. The full, long-form videos will start releasing in July and August once I am back home and can edit them properly. But don't worry, I didn't leave you hanging this week! A brand new video is dropping in about ONE HOUR: My honest review of Trader Joe’s Chinese food. You know I am measurement with my Chinese eyeballs, so get ready for the truth! 🤣 Stay tuned for the video, and let me know which of these trip photos is your favorite! ❤️ #chengdu #china #cookingbomb #sichuan

What a weekend! Our hearts (and finally our toes) are warming up after an incredible Celebrate Lunar weekend. We are still buzzing from the energy, the culture, and the sheer community power that helped us officially launch our non-profit, Heritage and Hope Inc. Our 5 year anniversary was so special this year because of YOU! 🫶🏼
To say “thank you” feels like an understatement, but from the bottom of our hearts—we could not have done this without you.
🌟 To Our Inner Circle ❤️Our Sponsors & Vendors: Thank you for believing in the vision of Celebrate Lunar + Heritage and Hope. Your partnership is the fuel that keeps this engine running. 💃🏻Our Performers: You brought the stage to life and shared your incredible talents, making the celebration truly unforgettable. 👥Our Volunteers & Staff: The unsung heroes! You worked tirelessly behind the scenes (and in the cold!) to make sure every detail was perfect.
❄️ A Special Shoutout to the Brave Souls Mother Nature decided to give us a taste of a true winter with the first big Florida cold front in years! But in true community fashion, you proved that “the cold doesn’t bother us anyway!” ☃️
Thank you to every single attendee who layered up and showed up. Your presence despite the temperature proves that our community is resilient, dedicated, and ready to grow together.🫂👥🫂
🏠 Growing What Starts at Home At Heritage and Hope, we believe in supporting local always and nurturing what starts right here at home. This weekend was just the beginning of a long journey of “keeping on and showing up” for one another. We truly are BETTER TOGETHER.👥
We love growing with you all. Here’s to many more milestones, much warmer weather, and a bright future for Heritage and Hope Inc.! Stay tuned for our May AAPI event!
With gratitude, The Celebrate Lunar Team + Heritage and Hope 🫶🏼🧧❤️
