They walk out together, no buildup, straight into it. The lights are already too bright—white and hot, almost flattening everything onstage. The band drops into Ain’t No Mountain immediately, tight and loud, and Xorael takes the lead without hesitation.

He carries the opening lines with a rough confidence, not showy, just planted in the song. Katanya hangs back at first, watching, then comes in to support—clean, precise, filling the spaces he leaves. The contrast is clear and intentional. When they hit the chorus, Xorael stays front and center, pushing it higher, the band leaning in with him—drums hitting harder, guitars biting.

As the song builds, they trade lines, but it never feels like a handoff. Xorael drives, Katanya responds. The lights flare again, almost blinding. By the final chorus, the crowd is fully in it, singing on instinct. Xorael holds the last note, Katanya coming in just under him, and when the sound cuts there’s a brief pause—then the whole place breaks open.

The air is thick with summer and possibility. Sunlight filters through the canopy, leaves casting soft shadows as two voices take their place at the front of the stage—grounded, calm, and completely in sync. This is the moment where everything pauses, gathers, and focuses. The moment right before lift-off.
Xorael and Katanya are locked in—mics in hand, shoulders relaxed, already feeling the groove before the first full note lands. The shade tent barely holds the heat building beneath it. Greenery frames the stage while the drummer behind them is dialed in, ready to drive the energy forward. This isn’t rehearsal. It’s confidence, chemistry, and intention.
At a sun-drenched Italian wedding, moments like this set the tone. Effortless style meets real musicianship, and you can feel the space getting ready to shift. This is how Rocks the Room warms up—by creating momentum. Stepping into a new year shaped by fire-house energy, that momentum matters. Fire years are about bold choices, passion, and celebrations that move people, not just politely entertain them.

If you’re planning an international wedding and want music that travels across borders and cultures, think beyond background sound. Think about the spark that brings everyone together.

At 100 Barrington, the band is moments away from setting the tone for a wedding celebration. At the center is lead singer and band leader Katanya, commanding attention in a striking green dress. Right in the heart of the dancefloor, Xorael moves with effortless confidence, voice cutting through the room as guests close in, hanging onto every lyric. Performing a spontaneous medley of bangers 🎶.

There’s no barrier between performer and crowd—just connection. The beautiful bride and groom soaking up the energy with their guests on the dance floor.

His charisma pulls people closer, his energy keeps them there, and the party builds around him in real time. This is leadership through music: bold, assured, completely at ease in the moment. When the singer steps into the crowd like this, the celebration stops being watched and starts being lived.

Elphaba and Fiyero, newly engaged and blissfully in love, were learning that choosing a wedding band was almost harder than facing down the Wizard himself.

They wanted a sound that was soulful, smooth, and full of heart. Their shortlist of first-dance songs said everything:

“Lady” – D’Angelo, Fiyero’s pick, capturing the moment he fell for her.

“If I Ain’t Got You” – Alicia Keys, Elphaba’s reminder that love is the real magic.

“So Amazing” – Luther Vandross, their shared anthem of unexpected joy.

“Your Love Is King” – Sade, the perfect test of elegance and groove.

“Man I Need” – Olivia Dean, a soft, sincere confession of how they ground each other.

After auditioning countless groups, they realized they needed a band that could bring all of these feelings to life. That’s why Rocks The Room stood out instantly—the range, the soul, the charisma, the energy. It was everything they imagined for the biggest moment of their lives.

✨ Make your wedding as unforgettable as theirs—choose Rocks The Room @werocktheroom to bring your soundtrack to life.

And now the real question is…
Which of these songs would you choose for their first dance?

BECY + JOEL
Two Days. One Big Celebration
Part one kicked off in Walthamstow. Becy and Joel got ready together at home, then strolled down to the Queen’s Arms for steak, fries and a side salad to share. Their go-to meal. They danced down the street to The Parent Trap soundtrack and said their I dos at Waltham Forest Town Hall in front of their nearest and dearest. Sunshine. Strangers cheering. Full romcom vibes.

Afterwards, Joel gave Becy a piggyback across the grass to the afterparty at his sister’s place. Streamers. Pom-poms. A neon wedding chapel sign in the hallway. Becy looked unreal in her puff-sleeved dress. Joel rocked a green suit from @percival_menswear. Flowers from @borrowedlightflorals were bold and beautiful. A dreamy day wrapped with fizz and dancing.

Then came part two at @frizzante at @hackneycityfarm. Bright linens in the trees. A DIY disco ball piñata packed with sweets and temporary tattoos of their faces. No cake cutting. Just smash and chaos.

They opened the dance floor with Chop My Money while being showered in paper cash. Then came the Lizzo routine from the hen crew. The band @werocktheroom kept it full all night.

The sun stayed out all weekend. There was a straw fight. Shania Twain. Steps. And yes, 5,6,7,8. Magic.

Hit play for two days of real love, joy and a wedding that felt exactly like them.
