What’s one thing you love/d about restaurant jobs? I partnered with @werrestaurants to break down why I think working in a restaurant actually gives you an edge in almost any career.

What I learned as a waitress (and a bartender and a host):

- The energy you bring to a situation does determine the outcome of that situation- even if it’s just your POV on the outcome. You get to decide how you show up and usually bringing a positive attitude turns most days around.

- How to manage and save money. Because I dealt with a lot of cash, I used to have envelopes of funds that I would set aside for designated projects. It helped me to prioritize what is worth spending my money on and then really appreciating what I bought because I had touched every single dollar in my hands.

- How to juggle multiple issues, simultaneously, without being overwhelmed. As someone who juggles a lot of things during this era of my life/career, I am able to do it because of the skills that I learned handling all of the many “rushes” in a restaurant.
