Something Is Killing The Children #10 “The House Of Slaughter Part 5”
The spotlight is placed on Aaron in this issue.. @wertherscut and @jamesthefourth present and interest aspect of Aaron’s character, shifting from the self-absorbed snob to a hero with admirable qualities. Initially, we see Aaron way too preoccupied with maintaining the secret of The House Of Slaughter rather than helping the kids. He was sent to eliminate Erica, his true intentions a topic of questioning.. However, we see his relationship with Erica Slaughter presented in new light, specially towards the end of the issue. He demonstrated a genuine connection and care towards others, finally acting like a hero and not just a hunter. Visually, the contrast of the black and white gutters also help tie this depiction of him so effortless for the reader.. He becomes injured but it is not clear whether he succumbs. @boom_studios Simply can’t wait to receive the next issue 🔪💯💥🙌🏿#somethingiskillingthechildren #emmarios #variantcover #jamestynioniv #wertherdelledera #comic #boomstudios #variantcomics #variantcovers #variant #comics #comicbook #comicbookart #graphicnovel #bibliophile #bookish #comicbookreviews #comiccollector #comiccollection #indiecomics #indie #indiecomic #review #bookreviews #bookreview

Something Is Killing The Children #9 “The House Of Slaughter Part 4” Without any warning, @jamesthefourth and @wertherscut thrust the reader into imminent tragedy with two boys out in the woods looking for a sibling. Tommy tried to tell the kids to run as he encounters them while fleeing from the creature’s offspring. Tommy suddenly finds himself in a compromising situation that makes him look like a savage criminal.
Meanwhile, Erica Slaughter reaches out to James and he shares his hope for a resolution with deep insight, “I was going to help. We were going to have a fun adventure, and I’d get revenge on the thing that killed my friends.” Erica reassures she is “no hero,” along with hauntingly detailed moments of her past that have shaped the individual she presently is. Without a doubt a key moment in the series because it is here where the reader discovers Erica Slaughter’s driving force and connection to Octo the purple plushie. Panel to panel intensity for the senses, this series sets this creative team apart as true visionaries🔪💥💯 @boom_studios

Something Is Killing The Children #8 “The House Of Slaughter Part Three” The most thrilling read you could possibly pick to bring in Halloween from @boom_studios 🎃🔪💥
@jamesthefourth and @wertherscut ingeniously carve out a world unlike any other.. The reader is tormented, in on the grotesque illusion the adults at Archer’s Peak cannot see nor fathom.
The authorities are also trying their best to get some answers for the sake of the children but in reality, the children are the only ones who know what is happening through experience.
The sheriff asks James if he trusts Erica, trying to get to the level of James. He cannot gain his trust because he is limited by his own perception of the world. The sheriff hopes the creature is something familiar to him, “like aliens.” Utterly preoccupied with making it go away his search leads him nowhere.
In another instance we see Bian speaking with Gail about death. Gail declares her husband passed peacefully and Bian further inquires, “Did anything try to eat his body?”
Erica Slaughter, one step ahead of everyone else and the only one who refuses to forsaken the children even if it means her own life. Knowledgeable of the whereabouts of the creature and a next potential victim. Will anyone listen to her? The creature is as real as the fragments of the body remains left behind 👀🔪🔥
