We’re a day late for National Coaches Day… but this team deserves more than one day anyway. 🖤💛

One of the things we’re most proud of at One Dojo is just how much our families can find in one place: jiu-jitsu, MMA, wrestling, boxing and kickboxing, dance, gymnastics, recreational classes, and serious competition training—all taught by people who genuinely know and care about what they’re teaching.

Our coaches bring decades of experience as competitors, athletes, educators, performers, military and public-service professionals, parents, and mentors. We have black belts, professional fighters, championship athletes and coaches, collegiate athletes, lifelong dancers, and people who have spent years becoming experts in their disciplines.
But experience alone has never been enough for us.

We believe coaches should be trained to coach. Our team pursues continuing education, SafeSport training, CPR and First Aid, and sport-specific credentials through organizations like IBJJF, USA Wrestling, USA Boxing, USA Gymnastics, and NFHS. When families trust us with their kids—and athletes trust us with their goals—we take that responsibility seriously.

But credentials only tell you what our coaches have learned. They don’t tell you how much they give.

Every coach at One Dojo is a volunteer. They give their evenings, weekends, experience, and expertise because they believe in this community. They invest in beginners and competitors alike, coach tournaments and performances, continue learning, and step into whatever role the team needs.

Our coaches don’t simply teach classes. They invest in people. They are the heart of what we do.

We’re incredibly proud that so many athletes, performers, kids, and families from all walks of life from true beginner to high level competitor can walk through the same doors and find qualified coaches ready to help them grow.

Happy National Coaches Day to the adult coaching team of One Dojo. 🖤💛

And this is only Part I. Next up: the young athletes who grew up here and are already coaching the next generation.

It took a few days for the smoke to clear but I wanted to thank everybody that was apart of @_elevate_submission_series__ 24.

It was the second biggest combat sports event to ever be held inside the historic @gilleysdallas venue.

DFW was the first area to give me an opportunity to promote an event outside of Houston and I am forever grateful!

Subseries will return before the end of the year for a huge event and we will be bringing @elevate_fc_mma_ with us. Stay tuned for a huge announcement.

🥋 My #blackbelt journey starts today🥋
🤍 💙 💜 🤎 🖤
The peace and gratitude of this moment are only rivaled by excitement for this new chapter. This accomplishment looks different for everyone, but it always demands the most you have to give and shows you how much you learned you were capable of working through. For me:

☝🏻 Founding and co-leading a ranked Dojo
🦵Countless injuries and a hip surgery
🩰 Directing our Dojo dance company
👶 Training through two pregnancies
🥇 Competing at an expert level
👩🏻‍🎓 Doctorate student full time
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Family life full time
👩🏻‍🏫 Working full time
🔟 years dedication

This is not my accomplishment alone. I could not have done this without @wesdojo. This belt is a testament to you and your skill and commitment as an instructor as much as my work as an athlete. Thank you for bringing me into this world and all the ways it’s changed me. I love you and am proud to be your first black belt.

Thank you to my @onedojodfw community for always pushing me to be my best not only for me but for you. I always want to grow together, and I deeply look forward to where we go from here. ☝🏻 A most special shoutout to those who made the trip for the promotion 🫂

Much gratitude to @rafaelpinheirobjj and @dinojiujitsu for welcoming us into your family! We are proud to represent this lineage in the IBJJF and to have your support 🤝 We are excited to share much more training and gain more experience with you 🙏🏻 Time to work on the belt turning white again!

And to all the training partners without whom this art is impossible. Thank you for being a part of my journey 🤼‍♀️ I have been blessed to work with so many high level athletes, coaches, and gyms. Iron sharpens iron ⚔️

Good day for team @onedojodfw at Jiu Jitsu World League Austin. @jjworldleague

Out of 152 teams, we finished:

🥋 #5 in Elite 8
🥋 #5 in Academy Select
🥋 With only 14 competitors representing our academy

We’re incredibly proud of the athletes who stepped on the mats and represented our team with heart, discipline, and respect. Results like this remind us that it’s not about the size of the team — it’s about the commitment behind it and the consistent trust in the process.

This is part of the journey.
Proud of today, and still climbing toward #1. 🥋

NoGi nights at One Dojo.
Kids, teens, parents, competitors, hobbyists — all on the mats together.
Different ages.
Different goals.
One team.
No egos.
No shortcuts.
Just people helping each other get better every day.

This is what family training looks like. 🖤 That’s how a real jiu-jitsu community grows.

We asked @ravenfightwear if they could make a custom rashguard for the coaches’ baby.
They said, “Say less.”
Next thing we know—mini rashguard, full design, flawless. They even added her fight name on the back to match the One Dojo coach gear for the @jjworldleague competition.

Appreciate this crew for always going above and beyond—nobody does custom like Raven. 🐦‍⬛
They’ll take care of even your littlest fighter like they’re the most important one on the team.

For the One Dojo team—fully customized fight names on the back of your gear are now available in our club store:

Great experiences with @jjworldleague at Dallas XIII!
Second time on the JJWL mats.
