Summer is over

And so is my childhood

That time in my life is gone now. It feels weird having to move on from something you had. It all feels exiguous- like it barely happened at all. But nothing strikes you harder than that realization. The realization you have when you need to move on into the unknown.
You don’t really change anything. You hardly adapt to it at all. It just takes your gut to churn for it all to happen.
The realization that you’re a parasite- all plump and unkind. The realization that people never saw you for your disguise you wear to run away from expectations. You will never move on until you’ve worn it down. The hurtful exits from your friends proves you’re just a chain that’s rusted all over.

I’ll leave all of you behind. Maybe I’ll say hi to some of you. To others, I know what you think about me, and I hope to never see all of you again. I guess I’ll be perfect for you all. That’s what it all comes down to.

To my friends featured in this post, I love you all

Godspeed
