"Talking About Where We're Gonna Be Someday"
.
.
.
Well folks, it's been exactly 1 month since our new album was released to the world and y'all couldn't be any kinder
.
.
.
The amount of love, support, shares, recommends, blog posts, positive reviews, kind words and compliments has been amazing
.
.
.
We're damn proud of the record we made, the journey it took to get us there, and the fact that it's in your hands and being so warmly embraced is phenomenal
.
.
.
Speaking of Records, y'all have been buying them up faster than a fresh batch of Skiff's white lighting back in the early days on touring (shhhh don't tell the bar)
.
.
.
We've already sold over well past half of the vinyl run we pressed, with only a handful of certain color variants left
.
.
.
So, if you've been waiting to pick up a physical copy for yourself, best act quickly as they're not gonna be around forever
.
.
.
You can get yours NOW at KindaCoolRecords.com or by hitting them link in our bio
.
.
.
Thanks again to each and every one of you that's ever come to a show, shared a drink, bought an album, or a shirt, or just danced the night away with us (or drank by the fire until the sunrise)
.
.
.
Y'all mean a lot to us, and we hope to see you again
.

Huge shoutout to Clampdown Record Pressing for cashing in a bunch of favours and doing everything they could to get these done on such a compressed schedule - we are truly grateful! ❤️

Oh wow what a night! I had really been excitedly anticipating The Still Spirits (truly momentous!) record release for a while, and it proved to be a fantastic time!! We celebrated the legendary Jonny Bones' bday!! And I personally also celebrated my 22nd Vanniversary! I pulled a Lance; RedGate-Rickshaw-RedGate. Almost did it perfectly but I read the set times wrong and missed all but one Alien Boys song. Bison was amazing! They said they'd (the two OGs) been playing 20 years! I remember seeing them back then when they played at Wendy's Cobalt on Halloween 20 years ago. And when they played the Rickshaw anniversary before Mo took over! Such a phenomenal band. My neck hurts from headbanging (but well worth it!).

I moved to Vancouver 22 years ago from Ottawa cuz all the touring bands would skip Ottawa and only go to Montreal and/or Toronto. I figured if bands were gonna hit the West Coast, they'd probably hit Vancouver, so that's where I moved!! (Also the fact that I hate snowy cold winters, that was my other reason for moving!)

Saturday Feb 28, 2026 was the most perfect way to celebrate one of my greatest life choices. Not only did I get to see 2 stacked shows, of all fucking amaaazing local bands, I got to see loads of friends who create a community that I am so friggin grateful for every day of my life. The Vancouver punk scene fills my soul... thank you so much for being a part of it!!! And if you're not, you're welcome to come join!! Such a beautiful and welcoming place to call home. IMMENSE GRATITUDE!!

Danced the whole Still Spirits set (how could you not?!), loved every second of it... Yee-Haw'd at least 3 times (according to this shaky video, ha!) bought the LP, got it signed (except for the drummer!) ate snacks in Casey's car while we chatted, then got a ride home. Super sunny weekend, soaked up the rays, had a long phone catch up with Erin in NS, helped a friend, enjoyed time with my sweet boyfriend and his daughter.... perfect weekend. Couldn't have asked for a better time. 💖 THANK YOUUUUU UNIVERSE!! 🥰

"Take Off, Eh!"
.
.
.
Suprise folks!
.
.
.
It looks like us Spirits are heading out this weekend for a little string of shows up in the great white north of the Yukon for the annual rendezvous festival in Whitehorse
.
.
.
Our dear pals at @leftyswell have been kind enough to book us some plane tickets, and a roughly sketched plan of what we're doing and where we're playing, which is exactly how we like it
.
.
.
Hop in a small plane with our instruments to travel to another province where the average temp can easily drop -30, with sense of the vaguest sense of a plan in place
.
.
.
That's the kind of hair brained spirit we live for
.
.
.
Will we succeed in our mission of seeing the northern lights?
.
.
.
Will everyone remember the songs?
.
.
.
Will we lose Wes at the airport?
.
.
.
Will anyone be there to pick us up from the airport when we arrive?
.
.
.
What is the name, location or event details of the other shows beyond this one poster we were sent?
.
.
.
These are the kind of exciting questions we can't wait to find the answers to
.
.
.
So keep your eyes peeled here as we "take off" for our furthest excursion yet
.
.
.
And if you know anyone that lives up north, tell em to come dance with us, as we'll be in and around the city all weekend, and we'll definitely be at Lefty's Well on the 22nd, where else will be spring up? Who knows, but we're excited to find out
.
.
.
Also, if YOU want to book us on some hair brained tour and fly us to our to where you live, just shoot us a message
.
.
.
Have songs, will travel
.
.
.
See ya out there, ya hosers!

"Thanks For Sticking With Us"
.
.
.
Well, it's that time of year again friends
.
.
.
The days are getting shorter as the nights keep growing longer
.
.
.
And as we all gather round the campfire in our own little hovels known as home, we'd like to take a minute to say thanks
.
.
.
Thanks for dancin'
.
.
.
Thanks for drinkin'
.
.
.
Thanks for stampin' n stompin', shoutin' n hollerin'
.
.
.
Thanks for sharin' n carin'
.
.
.
But most of all, thanks for listenin'
.
.
.
We know we don't play around as much as some of y'all may like, and we know that we've been promisin' a new album for seemingly forever
.
.
.
But it IS comin'
.
.
.
Slowly, but surely, progress is being made
.
.
.
Old songs are being preserved and will soon be set in wax for future generations to enjoy, while new songs are currently being scribed during long night shifts in the shine shack
.
.
.
We hope to have them all ready for you soon
.
.
.
Until then, thanks again for stickin' with us
.
.
.
It's right mighty kind of y'all
.
.
.
Hell, it's downright neighborly
.
.
.
Looking forward to seein' y'all again in the new year
.
.
.
With new songs
.
.
.
And the same old inhibitions
.
.
.
Until then, take care of each other

"Nothing To Lose"
.
.
.
Well would you look that
.
.
.
Just when we thought the summer was all said and done, our friends @the.good.time.charlies from Kelowna give us a call
.
.
.
The conversation went something like this:
.
.
.
"Hey, you folk wanna come up to Kelowna to play a houseboat - house party?"
.
.
.
"You mean a house party, that's happening ON a houseboat.. like, floating out on the water?"
.
.
.
"Yes"
.
.
.
"Yes"
.
.
.
And that, dear friends, is how the best damn end of summer house party came to be
.
.
.
See you there
.
.
.
Ticket link in our bio
.
.
.
I've been told to tell you to hurry and buy em, apparently they've done this before, and space/tickets for said houseboat are limited and sell out FAST
.
.
.
Y'all have been warned
.
.
.
See you on the high seas
.
.
.
