POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

SNDA and HSDA @westernucdm clubs proudly partnered at CCNP’s 14th Annual Health & Resource Fair to provide dental screenings and Oral Health Instructions (OHI) to our local community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to promote oral health education, increase awareness, and give back through meaningful community outreach. Dentistry is about more than treating teeth, it’s about educating, empowering, and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

A special shoutout to Dr. Johnny Han for his continued support, mentorship, and guidance. We truly appreciate your dedication to our students and community outreach efforts.

A sincere thank you to @laccnp for inviting us to be part of this wonderful event and for creating opportunities for students and organizations to come together in support of a healthier community!

Together, we’re building healthier communities, one smile at a time.

My little girl…

We made it. 🤍

You had no idea
how much courage
you already carried.

You left your family.

You left the life
you had built in Mexico.

Not because you had to…

But because you knew
your vision was bigger
than your fears.

You were already a dentist.

But you had the courage
to begin again.

It took eight years
to become a licensed dentist
in the United States.

There were moments
you felt exhausted.

Moments you questioned
how long the journey would take.

But you never let go
of your vision.

You knew that with heart,
passion, and hard work,
you would make your dream
a reality.

Today…

Every smile you restore…

Every student you mentor…

Every person you inspire…

is proof that dreams
do not have deadlines.

The little girl
who carried a vision in her heart…

became the woman
who helps others believe
in their own.

It was never easy.

But it was worth it.

If anyone asks
who I’m trying to impress…
Her 🤍✨

UCLA HSDA had the privilege of attending Dr. Jouzy’s Pearl of Wisdom mentorship gathering 🦷✨
Surrounded by an inspiring comunidad of Hispanic dental students, we connected across schools, shared our stories, and strengthened our confidence as future leaders in dentistry. The evening was filled with reflection, mentorship, and so much heart.

A huge thank you to Dr. Jouzy for opening her home and creating such a welcoming, uplifting space for us 🤍🌟 Moments like these remind us why representation, mentorship, and community matter so deeply in our profession.

✨ Workforce Wednesday Spotlight ✨

On September 6, 2025, our HSDA Chapter at Western University of Health Sciences hosted Bridging the Gap, a powerful outreach initiative designed to inspire first-generation high school students and their parents. 🦷

Bridging the Gap brings together students from dentistry, podiatry, osteopathic medicine, and veterinary medicine to share their journeys, lead hands-on activities, and provide meaningful mentorship. Through open conversations and real-life examples, participants were introduced to diverse health professions and given guidance on how to prepare for these pathways as they transition into undergraduate studies.💙

This program empowers students with knowledge, confidence, and representation, reinforcing that a future in the health professions is not only possible but truly within reach. ✨
