All good things; a bulletin to my Arizona automotive community. (Please read) šŸ I have made the decisionā€”with tattered reluctance and a tired egoā€”to walk away from Eurosport, the brand I have forged and fueled for the last four years. What would have assumedly-otherwise remained a dusty garage in the forgotten fold of North Phoenix, was met by my envisioning of how it might shape a placeā€™s culture through good work, great characters, and scratch creative efforts. I will forever look fondly on the work I leave behind, having poured my everything into it, the partnerships I nurtured and the quirky vehicles that justified the patchwork of it all. I never imagined allowing myself to break free from the weight this role has become for me, and even less so without a plan in place to replace it. But all good things must inevitably end, and Iā€™ve learned in life it is best to do so before you entirely lose what little may remain of yourself from the journey enduredā€”despite a perfectionist-creativeā€™s fiercest instinct to self-sabotage for the sake of the dream. How to determine in which or at what point an objective must be met and solved or abandoned to conserve resources? It is when that pursuit and those a part of it take more than you can give them. I so, painfully, wish I could continue sculpting this brand, sharing your stories through its lens, and exchanging ideation for implementation. I have had the privilege of working with some of my favorite artists, likeminded brands and fellow dream chasers in this field. Iā€™ve amplified the results of these relationships to millions, been humbled by the rallying of thousands, and befriended hundreds of new cast members along the way. Thank you for allowing me to play a small role in your big community. It has only and always remained my hope that whatever I do, I leave a greater sum in my absence than when I began. I hope my curiosity and craft has and will in some-way make some small-ripple across what continues to inspire you all forward with all-things ā€œfast cars and slow trucks.ā€ Forever dusty, and never rusty, Ryan šŸ³ļø

Hi, Iā€™m Mitchell, and this is Brass Tacks Provisions. Menā€™s clothing stores - specifically heritage Americana - are kind of far and few in between. Then narrow that to Oklahoma and Oklahoma City. That offering isnā€™t very large. You see stores specializing in suiting or big box stores or western vintage or athleisure. You donā€™t see American manufactured, new and vintage western and workwear, and heritage styles. Larger and micro brands also deserve a spotlight. Large isnā€™t really large. It can still be pretty unknown, which makes micro incredibly obscure. I wanted to change that. We will and will continue to.

SUMMER LINGERS, STEINBECK SURGESā€” Last few days have felt more like summer, so not too late to share another shot taken by @maxsnapsphotos on our recent visit to beautiful Beacon, New York. It was an incredibly memorable afternoon, the first time I had connected with Max outside NYC. I wish I could tell you which camera Max used, but my memory for photographic gear is pretty weak. Itā€™s lovely to be back in the country after an insanely over-scheduled week. But it all went off without a hitch, and I am just a bit proud feeling that I am doing a much better job than I used to managing stress. Has taken me a long while to figure out that complaining about being busy only adds to the frustration, and the best way to get through such times is to prioritize whatā€™s in front of you and tick off one thing on your to-do list at a time. Simple, right? Last night I started watching the new Netflix series based on John Steinbeckā€™s ā€œEast of Eden.ā€ Have you heard about it? Over the past year many book feeds that I follow have placed this novel at the top of the list of Americaā€™s best literature. Is it THE great American novel? It certainly has a claim to that title. It touches on all the mythology that underpins the American identity, but also the violence and secrets that lie beneath the surface. Steinbeck has long been one of my favorite writers ā€” ā€œGrapes of Wrathā€ is one of the most heartbreaking works ever set to paper, and it had a big impact on me ā€” and I suspect I may eventually re-read ā€œEast of Edenā€ā€”it would be my third time. My buddy @swoosh_n_boots is on a Steinway kick at the moment: do you plan to watch the series, Juan? All of our brands and makers are small in comparison to others out. But even in our shop, there are some that are still a size difference. September 25-27 we will have the Small Brand Event. Buy any item from brands listed here from us and you will receive a $20 gift card back, in store and online. Brands include Chilao, Wild Cane Supply Co., Bonicel Denim, billymadeforfriends, West Major, and Richter Goods. Each additional item from them will be an additional $20. Physical gift cards will be given in store and e-gift cards will be distributed within 24 hours of purchase. Many of these brands donā€™t necessarily have a huge marketing budget.
